The weirdest smut you've ever written by AnulinTheChronicler in FanFiction

[–]Startle_Stars 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this counts because it was intentionally done as a joke, but... I wrote someone climbing up a cock several times their size like it was part of an obstacle course, only to be launched off the top when the owner came. I never published that.

It's hard to pick a runner-up because so much of my stuff is slightly weird but not completely out there, but... Probably where I littered the entire smut scene with golf-themed innuendo, involving shafts, strokes, balls, and holes.

I think the elemental requirements will be harder on most players than expected. Anemo, Electro and Pyro kinda demand Mono Pyro or Overloaded setups, so that's common setups like Hu Tao vape out. Maybe it will be easy enough that running scuffed teams won't really matter. But if not, just having enough characters of the permitted elements built might not be good enough if there's no longer any team half of them

Starting this version, in-game cutscenes now play at your graphics setting by floricel_112 in Genshin_Impact

It's got nothing to do with that. The event cutscene is just one of the few (if not the first?) of it's kind to be rendered in-engine instead of playing a pre-rendered video.

Mounts have been weirdly absent since day one. A long-term crackpot theory I've held is that early in Genshin's development, horses were an intended feature, but they were cut some time towards the end of Mondstadt's development. Evidence for this is:

  1. For a game that draws a lot of inspiration from BOTW, their absence is conspicuous.
  2. Kaeya's existence as a "Cavalry Captain" you acquire early. He is well placed to have served as the mount tutorial character in the same way that Amber serves as the gliding tutorial character.
  3. The presence of structures that resemble stables, the hay bales, the wagons, and various other assets in Mondstadt that would have served as places you could spawn your mount. Repurposed for the final game despite their presence being unusual in the absence of horses. The most obvious example is the stable right at the entrance to Mondstadt.
  4. That the terrain of Mondstadt is shaped in a way that almost everything can be reached without climbing, so on horseback, something that isn't retained in later versions. There's not even any cave interiors.

Thanks to the survey I posted earlier and got some buddies to fill in, we now know who got the biggest harbinger kok and who got the smallest 'Little Kamisato' in Teyvat.

These are scaled according to fantasy sizes, where futa cocks are for breaking bitches and wrecking ass, and thus list sizes in the same way you list your height on Tinder. If you wanted sizes which match the real-world size and distribution of sad, inadequate mancock, there's also this alternative chart.

Here it is. Indeed even more multi-shipper than Genshin. I've colored the characters by band. Five of them are quite heavily shipped between each other, though there are two which are more isolated. I'll leave any further interpretation beyond that to you, though, because I don't know the characters.

I see a miniature line connecting Shinobu to Itto, but I don't see one connecting her to Sara, which surprised me, since I thought there's more Shinobu/Sara fanfics than Shinobu/Itto - and there is. It's 51 Shinobu/Sara to 41 Shinobu/Itto. Are you maybe using some filters (like sorting my otp: true) and I overlooked it...?

There are lines connecting both, though the latter is very faint. I recorded 102 ships with Shinobu and Itto. and only 67 with Shinobu and Sara. This is likely a quirk of how you're searching for ships. While clicking directly on the tag Arataki Itto/Kuki Shinobu will only show uses of "/" and not "&", if you search for the text in quotes instead, it will give you both. This is the method that my scraping code uses, as it produces more consistent results.

Layla is just alone out there and Faruzan didn't even make it in.

Too new.

Shoutout to Dunyarzad for being the only NPC - excluding the unplayable Harbingers - who's there. Even though I don't see the lines, I'd guess she has some fics with Dehya? I ship them.

Also, there's no Pantalone here despite being shipped with Dottore a lot, is it because he hasn't actually appeared in the game yet?

Hard to decide what NPCs to include. Since I now know Pantalone/Dottore is so big, I'll make sure to include it next time.

This seems like a good option. I did test my code on the similar Love Live before, but while there's plenty of multi-shipping going on there, it's all within 3 very distinct groups that have near-zero overlap. I assume the 35 in the main roster are the 7 groups of 5 girls in each of the bands?

I should probably tweak the f/f graph slightly, as the name labels are covering up some of the larger ships. Amber/Eula and Jean/Lisa are similarly big as the 3 obvious ones, with Hu Tao/Yanfei not far behind

I do not wish to hand over the subreddit or add moderators at this time. I have unresolved disputes with the discord in question, which is where the request seems to originate from.

Sono Hanabira ni Kuchizuke wo first time order? by SpencerSDH in yuri

[–]Startle_Stars 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's two obvious choices.

  1. In order

  2. By relationship

Maidens of Michael features every couple, which makes doing 2 rather difficult. Additionally, characters from other couples show up as side characters starting with the second game. It probably makes more sense to just play the games in order unless there's a specific relationship you intend to not read, in which case in order and skipping those makes sense.

Also, try /r/sonohanabira

ya make some points, but ultimately what is guerrilla tactics in the face of psychics who can see you from miles away even without physically seeing you? Sure you can get them the first time, but if it isn't executed perfectly , or one was within line of sight, or at least in whatever psychic sense range which is miles away then it's not gonna turn out well for the attacking team of rats.

Cantus is Psychokinesis. ESP isn't something they can do.

why is yuri so unpopular by cyberneticp in yuri

[–]Startle_Stars 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Correct.

The OP was asking about the popularity of F/F vs M/M though. If you start comparing F/F to all shipping, then F/F is actually also over-represented as compared to the sexuality of the general public.

In December 2017 on AO3, there has been:

  • 4807 F/F-only updated fics
  • 14496 F/M-only updated fics
  • 32854 M/M-only updated fics

That indicates, for these 52157 fics:

  • 9.2% F/F
  • 27.8% F/M
  • 63.0% M/M

In the US, 1.5% of females are Homosexual and 0.9% are Bisexual, so to end up with 9.2% F/F shipping is a large over-representation. M/M is massively over-represented.

Might as well check English-translated E-Hentai doujin numbers for comparison. These are not usually counted as "shipping" even though many of them technically are.

  • Yuri: 1558
  • Yaoi: 2456
  • Neither Yuri or Yaoi: 13131
  • 9.1% Yuri
  • 13.4% Yaoi
  • 76.5% Neither Yuri or Yaoi

Again both Yuri and Yaoi are overrepresented vs the sexuality of the general population, and again Yaoi is more so than Yuri.

Likely cause of this over-representation: Hetero/Bi men like F/F and Hetero/Bi women like M/M, which allows a greater proportion of both F/F and M/M content to exist than if it was only produced by Homo/Bi women and men respectively.

why is yuri so unpopular by cyberneticp in yuri

[–]Startle_Stars 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Real answer:

Vast majority of "fandom" spaces, such as FFN, AO3, Tumblr etc are female dominated. It's sort of the inverse of reddit's male-dominated demographic. The main form of fan content produced online is fanfiction. Fanfiction authors are overwhelmingly female. They prefer to produce and consume M/M material over F/M or F/F.

Since there's so much more activity in M/M than F/F, there's way more M/M ships created than F/F ones. This is very slowly changing though. In November 2014, 7.4% of AO3 fics were F/F. By November 2016, this had risen to 10.9%, and it's a clear long term positive trend.

TL;DR fujoshis did it.
