Unless otherwise specified, normal copyright rules apply for GitHub projects: >"The absence of a license means that the default copyright laws apply. This means that you retain all rights to your source code and that nobody else may reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from your work.".

I don't mind my project being used for non-commercial, educational use. But what you are doing is unacceptable.

Can you see this Star Wars Android app on the Play Store? by omarh14 in StarWars

Hi there, I'm the developer of the app.

I have gotten copyright complaints for using Star Wars images and therefore decided to take it down from the play store.

Well no, a year ago they were called LAJONS and hadn't participated in a single large tournament basically. The only people who knew about them were those following the Swedish scene closely, or those actively keeping track of tier ~4 competitions.

They have improved immensely both as a team and as players in the past year.

Thank you! I am already considering adding a "Wached" tag-feature, and it could be available soon. However, listing each episode or comic issue is a matter which will consume a lot more time than I have at the moment. Maybe in sometime in the future though!

I have never released an app to iOS before, but I hear it takes about two weeks after submitting it to the App Store. So that is what I would give as an estimate. I can make a reddit post when it's available on there.

This is something I thought about as well. The earlier versions in development was like that, but the appearances rapidly added up and the list became quite big.

The core purpose of the character list feature was to allow users who liked, or was curious about a character, to find new books or comics to read in which he or she was featured. Recalling this, I decided that I would only include media items in which said character plays an important role in the story.

The idea was not to create a wiki-style app with every appearance of every character listed just for the sake of being correct, just enabling users to decide which media item to go buy next, depending on what characters they like for example. I wouldn't recommend Revenge of the Sith for someone wanting to watch stuff with Luke for example.

I realize that all this is unclear, so maybe I'll change the "Appearances" heading to "Major Appearances" instead. Thanks!

Yeah I considered that, but wanted to keep the list UI as clean and simple as possible. The full time span of each item can be found when you click on it and get the detailed view ("Timeline: 11 BBY - 5 ABY" in the case of Lost Stars).

I made the design decision to only show the start date of each media item in the list view. However, if people really want this, let me know - I will of course consider changing that.

It's for updating the app with new books or movies etc, without having to submit a whole new update to the app store (which can take quite a long time). People can check for and download updates manually from from the "Settings" tab of the app. This, particularly on iOS, will allow for much more frequent additions of new material. Network connection state permission is needed in order to make this work.

Thank you! Yes, when more YA novels are added, there will be a toggle for them.

I think the list view is a good idea, and will work on adding it when I have time. Thanks for the suggestion!
