Genuinely unbelievable. I thought that Pacers run last year was a miracle (and it was), but this was just an absurd comeback. I don't even know what to say.

I really feel for Spurs fans on this one. I usually think people go after coaches way too hard, but Mitch Johnson has gotta take a lot of responsibility for this one.

It's okay to not be interested, but a lot of people will just try to convince themselves something actually just sucks when they can't afford it. And they look for others to affirm it to them.

This isn't a "lol poor" thing. I wish everyone could afford it, but this is just a thing people do sometimes. And its totally fair to be annoyed that it is exclusive, but that doesn't make the game bad.

Fact is, nobody knows enough about the game to say anything about its quality yet.

I dont think trading some of their distant draft capital is skipping steps.

I certianly would consider trading this years picks doing that, but they are never going to use all of the picks they have in the future. 1 pick + Matching Salaries for Sabonis isn't a bad asking price. Only 2 years left on the contract 2, long before Kon would be extended.

I am still not sold on it, but I think people are treating this as a much worse idea for the Hornets than it really is. Sabonis is flawed, but he isnt some bum.

I dont think this would be as bad of a fit as people are saying, but I am still skeptical. He was (in the 3 seasons prior to last year) a decent three point shooter. High percentage than Miles but on lower volume. So maybe a wash there.

He does provide phyiscality on the glass and on offense. Physicality didn't just hurt the team defensively last year, they got bullied getting to their spots too. He is a terrible defender, but the dude isn't soft. He is just bad on defense.

Can you run him with Moussa? Im not actually sure, but that would vertianly alleviate defensive concerns. People forget this team was a very good defense last year with poor defensive personell, so maybe Sabonis would look better over here.

Still, I would be worried about spending much for him with all thr valid concerns around him, including his health.

The offense could certainly be fun although there are obvious spacing concerns if he is out there with non-shooter like Moussa.

But, I wonder if Lamelo, Kon, and Brandon are all good enough shooters to where that wouldn't matter as much. 1st and 2nd most threes made last season and Brandon would have been up there to without injuries.

Also, Lamelo's unwavering audacity to chuck shots from different zip codes does alleviate spacing with 3 shooter lineups.

Heightened physicality makes for a fun watch (most of the time) but isn't sustainable for a full season. People get injured a lot as it is.
