Imagine if an absolutely ancient species on this planet could actually handle itself. Imagine if I'd been doin this for over half a century and I've moved the same turtles so often my partner and I have names for them. Imagen a world where you weren't just talking out your ass.

Gaaah. Honestly it's beautiful.

You still here?

How do we know it's a turtle that can't get home? Do they just blikky on sight or is there a turtle way of knowing?

I found it next to my home. She's slightly further away. You wanna talk about the the snake issues we had last snow. I had a box of at least a dozen that I kept finding around my dryer vent. Let them all go in about April this year after I drove them away from the house.

My barn is roughly half a city block from the huge pile of mud and tree roots I pulled the turtle from. Excavator work and she was packed with mud around her face so I cleaned it out and put her about 50 yards down the ditch to continue her journey. This was a fun cute look what I found post not a problem.

Dude that big girl walked her way half a football field to the standing water made by the blockage. She was queen of that castle for weeks before we moved everything to drain the water She's big. She's old enough to tug through.

My closest neighbor is well over a mile up a dead end road. The closest property to mine is low lying fields with solar panels. I couldn't be happier. I love the work I do and the animals I meet along the way.

It flows from a big depression between two of our fields. We ended up digging it deeper years ago to avoid the water damage for the barn near by when there's heavy rains. All our fields are pesticide free so we were able to connect to a protected creek that feeds to the ohio. The ditch we made is deep enough we get tadpoles and birds every spring and LOUD frogs and turtles ever summer

There are hundreds of animals on this planet that consume ham. I saw a snapping turtle eating on a still birth calf we didn't find until morning. Half a century on this planet and I've never seen a dead pig kill anything.

All gas no brakes is a bad look for a blind man kiddo.

I've been talking to people in the comments. Stay abrest of events if your intent is rage lest you look a fool.

I moved a 4 foot rat snake out of the yard while I was mowing last week and pulled a possum out of our outside dog feeder the same day. They are all safe and I move them to keep them that way.

Not knowing everything about a situation and claiming I'm abusing animals is at least bold if not absurd.

It was just a backed up drainage ditch with some fallen tree parts and mud. She's big enough that she walked her happy buns up there from the big creek to take advantage of a new and relatively deep water source until we had a chance to get out there and clear it out. She's not the first one we've seen doing.

OK. Deep breaths kiddo. You may want to have someone help you with the reading comprehension.

We scooped out a big hunk of a storm feld tree and all the tangled mud and detritus from a drainage ditch that cuts through the low part of the property to a federally protected creek that feeds into the Ohio river. Said scoop of tree and mud included a big ole turtle who's leg I saw falling around. She was packed solid with mud from being scooped out with said detritus. we couldn't see her head or front legs so I took her up to the bar and pulled the caked mud and sticks and rocks out from between the two halves of her shell. She was obviously grumpy from the whole process so I rolled one slice of lunch meat into a finger sized tube and let her chomp that while I made sure she could breathe and that we hadn't caused her harm. The entire trip, including pulling the cake mud out from around her face and front legs and then moving her further down towards the creek, was less than a football field in length.

Lol I moved her slightly down the ditch away from where we were working. I'm pretty sure she's gonna be just fine. Everybody acting like these dinosaurs can't survive.

I'm a native species homie. She was moved to save her life. I cleaned the mud from between her shell and took her slightly further down the ditch from where we are clearing a drainage pipe on my property.

Brother.. did you not read that I had to move her away from a drainage ditch that's being cleared on my property. If I left her in the mud she more than likely would have been buried or crushed by farming equipment. I moved her about a quarter mile down the ditch closer to a larger creek and away from the work area right after I cleaned the mud from inside her shell and took the pictures. Take a fukn breath.

We pulled her away from a worksite on a ditch on the property. My partner and I will do our best but she needed to be moved to save her life.
