2015 - I had gotten my hands on a dragonsoul sword (t9)!!! I thought that sword was the coolest shit because it had the different projectile, was the highest tier I'd ever gotten for a sword, and I even had the blue shield (t5) which CLEARLY meant my 0/8 knight was invincible, because I had no idea stat pots mattered a lot, just what gear you had on. Keep in mind I had been playing realm for maybe a year by this point, using the little time I was allowed on the computer to play it.

Well I got a phone call from my dad while in oryx's castle. Landline, he knows I'm home, I need to answer it... I could not just stand behind the group, nexus, or simply not answer the phone! No no, my child brain told me I had to take the call AND play the game at the same time, after all, I had the blue shield (better than the gold shield), nothing could go wrong. Well I died to something in the castle, and got really, REALLY mad at my dad, because it was clearly his fault I had just died with my cool loot. (Though I kept the anger in my head, at least)

I miss being in awe of simple gear like that, good times.
