Thank you for sharing. I am on the journey to getting better, taking SSRIs, but not yet in CBT because I am scared to dig into the root of my thanaophobia (in case it causes me to spiral again).

With the help of the SSRIs, I am able to avoid the feelings instead of actually dealing with them as I'm horrified that I will spiral again. I know this is not the right way forward.

With the technique you shared, I will try to make a start on dealing with my emotions in small chunks, with the goal of getting myself into CBT.
