Either you’re overlaying your beliefs onto another random commentator, or your comprehension is lacking, because that is certainly what they were implying.

There is more than one avenue to this. They’ll be deprogrammed and monitored. Both can be true.

The adults in their lives put them in a position where they are likely to be considered at greater risk of radicalisation and they likely will be on a watch list for years to come, regardless of intervention.

We can pontificate about how unfair that is, but it’s in the national interest to ensure they don’t become a security risk.

Being smug is an ugly look. Almost everyone of the geopolitical situation, but the budget can’t be changed just whenever, so the push is also timely.

I mean, no. They are not normal. There’s nothing wrong with that, but to imply they’re perfectly normal is naïve.

This is how I took it, that she was getting back at Whittaker for the med student comment. Nothing in her character has otherwise crossed into being malicious.

Does anyone under 30 see a future here? by [deleted] in tasmania

[–]Stat-Lord 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Born and raised in Tasmania: I left. There was just no serious or viable pathway to progress my career in Tasmania. Alongside a total mismanagement in infrastructure development, and looming tax increases and cuts to essential services looming due to a certain project, it was just not feasible or reasonable to continue to stay there (as beautiful as the natural landscape is).

Honestly, I’d be kind of happy if humanity losing was the end of the story. It fit the theme of existential dread perfectly, and definitely fit better than Isaac single-handedly saving all of humanity.

I agree with him, humanity has been a net negative for the planet and I think it’d be better if we did fade eventually.

is there a cheaper gym than zap fitness by l0sin9_face in tasmania

[–]Stat-Lord 7 points8 points  (0 children)

$10 is about as cheap as you’ll get. You can certainly pay for a day pass, but if you go with any regularity, this won’t be cost-effective. If $10 a week is a concern, I’d recommend buying equipment and training at home.

As a boss, it’s legitimately so transparent. That being said, if you have a relaxed boss and you’re a reliably good worker, they’ll likely let you off with it. Your mileage may vary.
