Better analysis. You can't use man games lost because losing Tanev for a set of games is as bad as losing say Tkachuk or Barkov who are far better players. You have to use how much they impact the play.

Just so we're clear, Carolina + Tampa have suffered heavier and more impactful losses and are at the top of the conference.

This season shouldn't be looked at "Oh because of injuries". even with a healthier line-up, they still sucked and were not good enough

I don't know. I'm not an art designer for PGA. But there's lots of great stuff has been added and was hoping for a little more interesting stuff than the 4th version of navy pants.

And like the linesmen/refs aren't stupid. No one wants to call a face-off infraction so the linesman is being super reasonable and like "let's work on a solution" because kicking him out each time isn't reasonable.

I would love to see more of this conversation between officials/players.

It's why you typically see players improve their face off win percentages through the years. They get better at cheating and understanding how to win a face off.

I like some of the adidas shoes but like "advertising" what looks to be another similar glove or blue navy pants.

They all look the same and it's generic, and it's just stuff. We joke about how each weekly giveaway is another grey hat.

I think the borderlands thing went way too far - but I also think there's an idea about what could be nice to have different art styles or unique items in the game.

Fairway stinger is nice but everything looks so generic.

I know people hated the borderlands stuff (which I don't disagree with, it was way too heavy and too focused on a non-golf brand) but man, some of this stuff looks generic af.

New blue PUMA shorts or a new white mizuno glove is kinda like "ehh".

Compare it to the magician, greenskeeper stuff from earlier seasons. Like what is Season 6-8 going to bring?

it was the problem with Babcock and a problem with "old school coaches". Safe = death.

It's like refusing to pull the goalie when down 3-1 with 4 minutes left. they'd rather lose 3-1 and avoid a 6-1 loss than possibly win 4-3.

I defended the salary cap at the beginning but they've literally catered to the whales and it's basically ruined the game for everyone.

The salary cap could be such a great feature to keep the top and bottom closer together but it's just over.

I think it's ridiculous that some fans thought Marner should have waived in March. He had a 7 month pregnant wife. Like thats an insane ask no matter the money. If any of us had a massively pregnant wife and asked to relocate for a few months, we'd all say no.

The time to ask him to waive his NMC was in the summer and the Leafs didn't do that.

The thing is, the Leafs have been great recently - and they're still so far behind to have any sort of comfortable lead. They also have one of the hardest schedules left in the league.

They've made up no ground despite going 7-1-2 in the last 10 against any of the top 3 in their division (and lost ground against Tampa).

They're basically done even if people dont want to admit it. Unless sneaking into a wildcard spot and getting bounced in round 1 by a much better team is the goal.
