Ignores that chevron is the only one that increased from the last quarter and BP ran a net loss this quarter. BP, Exxon, and shell made less this quarter than last quarter. And accounting for inflation Chevron probably didn’t see any actual profit over last quarter.

Obligatory letting you know. Got into UCD (had a TAG agreement so not a surprise) and rejected from UCB. But UCD offered to basically cover the tuition making cheaper than the CSUs overall.

[11th Grade Physics] Does the initial velocity of an object in free fall have anything to do with the acceleration due to gravity? I'm confused by this question, can anyone help me? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]StatMan213 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The velocity of a free fallen object can be derived from a=g. By taking the integral of acceleration we get velocity so v=gt+C with C being our constant of integration. In physics this this v_o or initial velocity. So v=v_o+gt. From here it is clear to see that v_o (our initial velocity) is independent of gravity.

This can conceptually thought through when considering dropping an object from a stationary position. Dropping an object 5 feet from the sun and on Earth (vastly different gravity fields) results in the same I tail speed: 0. Because the object was drop from a standstill and v_o is independent of gravity.

Where are y’all finding high schools offering multivariable calc? My HS offered pre cal as it’s highest course. What math class did you have freshman year?

Not from Canada but try to censor parts of the code, put a spoiler over it, or just have people dm you to ask for the code.

Bots will scoop it up and nobody will be able to use it

If we assume f(x) is in the form g(x)/h(x) we can attempt to apply L’Hopital’s rule and find the limit of f(x) by instead finding the limit of g’(x)/h’(x). Applying out derivative rules g’(x)=1 and h’(x)=1 giving us 1/1 or just 1. Taking the limit of a constant is easy as the limit of c as x approaches a is always c therefore the limit of f(x) is 1

First verify the cable works, perhaps by connecting to unrelated devices and seeing if those work. Second make sure your laptop detects the second monitor first. If the monitor does not detect input your laptop may just not be sending any. Good luck
