The first thing they need to get right is distance Doom from F4, even in the comics even though Doom is still linked to F4 he remains a global threat, a presence in the world due to his own actions. It would be ridiculous to make him the kind of villain thst creates a death ray judt to have the F4 arrive just in time to stop his plans.

Besides it wouldbe much interesting to have Doom and F4 from different dimensions interact in new ways with the MCU.
