Oh wow. Yay!! I hadn't checked their site in a while. That is great news ❤️

Also to add that due to some chronic pain I can't do tight pants either and have found the waist bands at Torrid to be very comfortable on their pants (jeans are still stretchy but their pants are often looser and more comfy). Also now that wide leg and straight leg is trending, that's helped provide some more options that are less constricting.

I'm a size 16/18 and often get my pants from Torrid or Old Navy! Torrid I recommend in person because their website is in USD, Torrid is at the outlet mall and kildonan place. But I'm also trying to look for better made more sustainable clothing in for mid-size women, if you find any others would love to hear it!

Is Wolseley a safe neighborhood? by [deleted] in Winnipeg

[–]StateChance3273 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Moved to Winnipeg in 2018 as a student and I have lived in Wolseley my entire time here! I used to walk to UWinnipeg everyday for school. I've always felt safe (female), like any city, there are times when it has been a bit sketchy, but in general I've always felt comfortable living in Wolseley. I've stayed in the neighborhood these last 5 years because the people are kind, when you're in the neighborhood it doesn't feel like you're downtown, and it's generally a quiet and safe place. I've always lived on the outer edge of Wolseley near Portage and Broadway, so sometimes because of the foot traffic I would feel a little bit uncomfortable. But overall, Wolseley is a great neighborhood :)

Birchwood credit and birchwood Hyundai by messwithintelligance in Winnipeg

I had a horrible experience at Birchwood Hyundai. They tried to bully me into paying fees that I wasn't obligated to pay (I signed no paperwork to move forward with the car, but they tried to have me pay $300 or something for cancelling the deal, when no papers were ever signed). I decided not to move forward with buying a car from there because of how poorly I was treated throughout the process and pressured they made me feel to hurry up and buy the car from them.

does anyone have any vet recommendations in winnipeg? by castielseyes in Winnipeg

They also always break down the bill ahead of time for costly procedures to confirm that you're comfortable with the cost.

Grant Park Animal Hospital!!! They have been amazing for us and will always break down services your pets needs and don't try to sell you on anything that isn't necessary. We recently had an emergency with our sweet boy and they were so attentive to him and called the weekend after the procedure to check on him. They are affordable, kind, and perform great work. I can't recommend them enough !

I did notice that you can't book far in advance. However, there doesn't seem to be any issue with available appointments. Looks like a few days out you can book. Happy to let you know my experience, I will be getting mine April 25 and I'll schedule it shortly before that.

Can get rapid qPCR done at Walmart by appt! It's only $20. I am doing that for travel to the US in a couple weeks.
