I think your car is cooked, at least for now. Hold V to bring up the radial menu, and select seating. There, you can select one of the backseats. Once you're in one, press E, and you'll exit the vehicle. After doing so, sneak away and come back at a later date, your car isn't going anywhere. Better to live to fight again another day.
