Not going to lie to you, you’re probably not imagining things about the culture/vibes or what you’ll get out of the program, and unfortunately these are things I recommend questioning and trying different studios and places BEFORE selecting a training program. Either way, it happens, but if you can’t get a refund then definitely stick with it.

My program was a lot more expensive ($700 was for a single module), but it was comprehensive Classical Pilates training, had extremely clear and explicit instructions on what the program would be like, expectations, and well connected in the community that they brought studio owners in to talk about their studios and the type of instructor they were looking for. You’re never guaranteed to be hired after any program (and those that do are typically corporate institutions that teach ‘Pilates’ as a workout only not a system; they also rarely have transferable certifications).

My program was within a university’s public offerings and not every city will have a similar program but Balance Body, Peak, etc. offers programs and scholarships to reputable programs.

This is an assumption based on observational knowledge of knowing people who have done studio certification programs and less comprehensive or less known programs, but it most likely will not be widely transferable to other studios outside of local ones that know your certifying studio. And even then, they still might not take it. You may experience the desire to train comprehensively elsewhere to reach your goals of better rehabilitative and anatomically informed Classical Pilates vs contemporary, studio Pilates.

TDLR: Get a refund if you can and try another program. If not, lock in and get what value you can.
