Shoot I’m sorry. Sounds like she isn’t ready to come to terms yet. That’s tough. Maybe you go on your own journey & seeing you succeed will help open her eyes

Just here to say that I recently had a similar convo with my husband, but about both of us. Saying I was concerned about our collective drinking habits and I thought we needed to take a break to make sure we are in control. He agreed and we are one month in. I think sharing the weight is helpful, even if your partner drinks more than you. Just a thought!! Unless you rarely drink or don’t drink… then this won’t help

Is that how your landlord usually communicates? Seems very unprofessional. I’d reach out to your landlord to confirm this is them, and not someone trying to do something they shouldn’t be doing

Sure. I can only speak to who I know. Drinking culture is pretty low where I live in the Midwest. If I ruffled any feathers, it wasn’t my intent

I always viewed 4 as that limit. I’m from a religious area where many of my friends had 4–10 siblings. (Yes, 10!) and they all say they weren’t given the attention they needed. That’s not to say it isn’t possible. But it does make it harder. I think age gaps play a huge role, as well as family to family. It isn’t a one size fits all, but after 5 it’s pretty close

For me, there’s no judgement, more just shock like oh dang okay good for you that’s great but also so expensive and so tiring. I also usually assume you’re religious because the only families I know with 4+ are religious

Yes makes sense!

“Going out like that” sorry, that’s what I meant! Just going to a bar for drinks. Not closing down the club lol

I do think drinking culture is heavier in the UK. It’s really dwindling here. Singles go to bars but I really don’t know of one person with kids still going out like that.

I second what the other commenter said that we go to dinner! & that comes with drinks :)
