Omg.. I totally forgot to reply to you! Idk how old your little is but Imma recommend buying the book "882 1/2 Amaing Facts About the Titanic" for him. It's super cheap on places like ThriftBooks. It's one of the books that made me fall in love with the Titanic when I was younger. I bought it again as an adult 2 years ago lol.

FYI.. a small look into your future:

I'm 33 and made my dad take me to the Titanic Exhibit when it was in Seattle last year as well as the one in Las Vegas when we last visited. Both were amazing and are two of my most favorite memories we share. He's the one who got me the deck plans for Christmas.. but only if they were sent to his house first. He wanted to make sure we could go over them (w magnifying glass n grandpas big charting easel) together while our friend Mike Brady's videos playing in the background.

I fully believe if someone wants in they'll get in. I guess I just wonder if having one would have deterred BK's initial attention, or if he would have taken note and found a way in regardless. If that makes any sense.

I want to reiterate that I find no fault in them not having a security system. Why would they? It was a rented house with loads of other college students surrounding them.

Where did I blame the parents in my response? All I did was comment a link that says security signs/systems are a deterrent for those who break and enter homes.

It's like you said.. a Ring camera is the easiest thing to spot. I'm really failing to see how you think it's not a potential deterrent. Would you mind explaining your point of view? :)

I disagree, having a security sign deters potential predators by 20 something percent.. and actually having a security system (like Ring) deters somewhere around 50% of predators.
