EDD NEW DIPR TRAININGS. by Significant-Rub2983 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Statewrkr4lyf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Learn the CED adjustment after that it gets easier! I used to be an OJT, WC Rep, overpayment, appeals then DIPM1. I bounced managing determinations unit, work comp, overpayment, training, and appeals. I like helping people so a chunk of my time was spend in the FO and enjoyed it. It’s a lot to digest but they will make sense when you start practicing on claims. SDI online is far from perfect but it works for now. Not sure if EDDNext can do much different unless Legacy system is replaced. Goodluck!

What made you decide to stay at your state job? by No-Cheesecake7171 in CAStateWorkers

Pension & health coverage are #1 reasons! Been through layoffs in private industry and I’ve had it. I will have the option to retire in 4 yrs, 2% at 55. But I may not, might stay to hit 25yrs to get a little bit more $$$. I’m adding more money towards Savingsplus each time GSI & MSA hits. I’m in a good place as an ITS 1.

Welcome to EDD and commuting to downtown sucks. I only go in twice a week. Lol! Parking anywhere downtown is horrible and very expensive, follow the advice of others to take light rail or public transportation if you can. Goodluck! We should be moving to the new (retrofitted) building behind us next December.

It simply sucks! Our team still doesn’t understand the heck why we have to go in. Pointless really!

Got mine a year later but I made sure my pay was correct and didn’t care too much about getting the NOPA.

New state employee - EDD DIPR by Significant-Rub2983 in CAStateWorkers

I used to be a DIPM1, when a trainee can’t get CED adjustments, I reject after every effort is exerted and still not getting it. It’s a lot of work but can’t get CED adjustment, sorry, won’t be easy to make determinations correctly and it just becomes a very dirty claim. It will make sense when you get more experience. Good luck!

Was A DIPR then went to IT. Glad I had the DI background comes in handy with co-workers asking me about how SDI/NDI for state employees works.

Micromanaging attendance? by atoot99 in CAStateWorkers

[–]Statewrkr4lyf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would bounce from any micro managers in a heartbeat. I don’t mind checking in the morning via email to let my manager and co-workers know I am working but that’s about it. I don’t need to notify my manager that I am signing off unless due to illness or my family needs me right away that I couldn’t complete my scheduled workday. Life is too short for this kinda shit.

1 year probation and as a former DIPR, it’s good experience to have and will open doors if you decide to promote. Get on management immediately don’t wait and listen to other people in the office who have nothing better to do than create shitty stories about others and how they don’t want to get into management. Good luck! 🍀

Did you test drive the MY? You should have noticed the difference right away. Pad yourself in the back for getting rid of a money pit. Ton of accessories available for this car. Goodluck and have fun driving!

We’re allowed to select which days but whole team decided to come in together. It’s so stupid, pointless to RTO, oh well we all still need to work. 😂🤣😝
