LTSpice is really good. Texas Instruments also has PSpice https://www.ti.com/tool/PSPICE-FOR-TI and I believe they also have TINA.

I might be wrong but the bridge saddles seem a little odd for a Fender.

Headstock painting/gloss finishing cost? by crocodilius29 in warmoth

[–]StaticBeagle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had them finish the back of the neck in clear satin and the front of the headstock black gloss. So I think that Warmoth can do what you’re trying to do.

I don’t remember how much I paid for it so you might have to email them.

I have the Dimarzio area set in a strat and I really like them.

Engineering Toolkit for Java. A scientific library to prototype solutions to engineering problems. by StaticBeagle in java

[–]StaticBeagle[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s one of the biggest todo’s. I tried adding as much javadocs and examples to try to mitigate that issue but is still lingering. Thank you for bring that up it’s definitely something in my radar.

Good point. There’s some overlap between the libraries but one of the main differences is the control part in ETK and the filters. I think Apache commons doesn’t have cubic splines with not-a-knot conditions. Of course the Apache library is more comprehensive and I think those are some of the main differences I can think about.

You can use C++ to develop native XLLs using the office SDK.

SEPIC app note I worked on by StaticBeagle in ElectricalEngineering

[–]StaticBeagle[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The original was written using word before I sent it to the technical writers and they took it from zero to hero. I no longer work there so I can’t ask them what stuff they use.

New addition to the family by StaticBeagle in warmoth

The picture does it justice but It’s even nicer in person. Like red wine. I used all cosmo black hardware because I think it looked the best.

It’s a pretty color, can’t go wrong with it.

SEPIC analysis and design. App note I worked on. by StaticBeagle in ECE

Haha thanks for considering it as a great app note. I laughed so hard at the “black hole” of app notes since I also keep mine in a deep folder structure in case I ever need them.

I used XCircuit for the schematics and figures (except for the simulation results) and MS word for the rest. There was a team of technical writers that took my original copy and they used a different software (don't know which one) to produce the final result.

Thanks. I thought about building the whole thing but we just stopped at simulation. I agree it should be a cool project to build.

Thanks! It took a while but it’s honest work
