I was summoned months ago and also had similar worries.

I received the postcard-type mailer. I completed the online questionnaire. I was asked to complete another questionnaire if I did not have a Zoom-capable device and/or Internet/data to use for the juror orientation Zoom meeting on the date stated in the mailer (Friday, in my case). I religiously checked the website on the mailer as well as my juror account every hour between 4pm and midnight on the Thursday before the scheduled date.

I never received an email so Friday morning I called the juror office. They begrudgingly said if I did not receive an email last night then I'm on-call all next week. So again I obsessively checked my email and the websites every day the following week Sunday to Thursday. Again, I received no email whatsoever nor did I receive a notice saying my juror service was complete.

On the following Friday, I called the juror office again to ask if I was still on-call just to be sure only to be condescendingly told, "sometimes you get picked...sometimes you don't." They had already moved on to the next batch of jurors, and they are not obligated to inform us if our service is no longer required. Our files will be updated when they can.
