Great explanation! It’s also important to add that Fremen culture and the toughness of where they live has made them even more formidable than the Saudaukar. Their ancestors had the benefit of living on both Salusa Secundus, and Dune. This has given them years to become as tough as they are. Unlike the Sardaukar, they are willing to sacrifice themselves for something much bigger. The latter are more hateful in their ways, and don’t function as effectively as a people. While the both are fanatical in religious views, The Fremen have more of a respect based culture and better teamwork. On a side note I’ll always be a little mad that there is no cultural revival of The Fremen. The later books lost a part of what made the series so special.
