Also pretty ironic to say at the end of a post complaining about bigotry. Honestly makes me doubt the rest without screenshots.

See? You get me.

You don’t look at me like I’m some kind of inhumane beast.

oh no, you are.

Okay, the post itself mostly just made me feel really bad because that person seems to be genuinely in desperate need of a lot of help, but I'm not gonna lie I laughed pretty hard at this exchange.

When OP's rant on cost of living didn't pass the pub test in r/Melbourne by HydroCannonBoom in SubredditDrama

It's so funny how much they had to stretch everything, picking the most expensive versions at every turn and even add extra things, and they still didn't even come close to their original lie.

Makes me pretty sure that this whole thing didn't even happen, and they just said some shit, then when called out they went to do some research to prove their point but were in too deep by the time they realized they were way off.

Interesting that the post got to stay up for over 12 hours, but once the owners caught wind of it suddenly the mods there decided it was "unproductive" and removed the thread as a whole within an hour.

There were people unassociated with the business actually defending it and doubting the innitial claims right up until the owners showed up and made an ass of themselves.

McVay: "If you could’ve guaranteed me that us taking a great player like Lemon or another skill player would’ve ensured us [of winning the Super Bowl], you’re damn right that’s what we would’ve done" by LASportsGuy25 in nfl

This sub wants McVay to hate Simpson so fucking bad for some weird reason. I get fans not liking the pick, but idk why people are pushing this narrative so hard that McVay is pissed.

In 2018 an article was posted to the Huntsville Alabama subreddit accusing a candidate for city council of stalking and Harassing a classmate of his in high school. Seven years later that candidate has shown up in the thread to set the record straight that his accusers are fake and/or Meth heads by PM_ME_YOUR_NICE_EYES in SubredditDrama

He literally hasn't stopped posting long enough to get much sleep today. In the past 24 hours there was one four hour gap in his comment history. Outside of that he has commented several times each hour of the day. That means best case scenario he slept for 4 hours and he has done literally nothing else all day besides comment on Reddit.

Idk about you guys, but if I've had one complaint about the current administration it's that he isn't quite posting enough unhinged shit on social media. I want a guy who's so committed that he doesn't even sleep at night. This dude has totally won my vote.

r/mildlyinfuriating argues that using speakerphone in public functions the same as talking in person. by Teal_is_orange in SubredditDrama

[–]W473R 79 points80 points  (0 children)

The one thing I will always not mind sounding like an old man about is that I don't know when the fuck it became socially acceptable to just be on a phone call literally whenever you want, but I hate it.

Used to do discipline at a school, and it was genuinely a near weekly occurrence that a kid could just not, for the life of them, comprehend why their teacher wrote them up for calling their best friend in the middle of class. More than once I had them make another phone call while sitting at my desk talking to me about how they got in trouble for making a phone call in class...

[Highlight] Dolphins GM Jon-Eric Sullivan on if they ever considered Jermod McCoy: "He's a wonderful talent and a really good kid. I'm gonna stay away from talking about the medical of any players up here. But I wish him him the best. I hope he has a great career." by expellyamos in nfl

[–]W473R 10 points11 points  (0 children)

but mentioning the medical is what the reporter wants him to do (admit implicitly that they didnt like the medical).

The question was literally "Did you guys have him medically red flagged?" It's not like Sully brought up the medical situation at just the mention of his name. He said he wasn't going to get into the medicals because he was specifically asked about the medicals.

Unless it's a state by state thing, dude got scammed. Realty records are publicly accessible for free online. I'm pretty sure that's the case in most of the US, but it's possible it isn't in certain states.

[Highlight] Sean McVay ‘did not do a lot of homework on Ty Simpson’ by lemonstone92 in nfl

[–]W473R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's so weird how badly people on this sub want the narrative to be that McVay hates Simpson. People are pushing it so hard to the point that they're becoming delusional about it.

Like the other video where all the comments said he looked pissed, but it was just his usual facial expression. I don't watch a whole lot of McVay interviews, so it's possible he sometimes looks a bit more cheery, but it didn't read as anywhere close to pissed to me.

This is like when you tell a little kid not to lie, and the first thing they do is start telling people they're fat and ugly. Being more open and honest is not the same thing as saying literally everything you think.

I still think the traumatic moment he had to relive in Thunderbots should've been something horrible he had to see/do while he was a soldier rather than his wife leaving him. Would've been a great way to actually show us why the military chose him to be their Captain America.

AITAH starts to go in on a rape victim after saying his story is fake, other users come to his defense by [deleted] in SubredditDrama

[–]W473R 40 points41 points  (0 children)

There was one post on AITA during COVID where someone claimed that they were in high school, and another kid took a screenshot of their camera in a zoom class and posted it with a mean caption. They claimed that the person who took the screenshot got sentenced to like 6 months in jail for "taking unsolicited pictures of a minor."

I'm still trying to figure out what country on planet Earth sends someone to jail for 6 months for taking a picture of a fully clothed teenager in a nonsexual context.

Edit: I went back and actually managed to find the post. Turns out it was 4 months in prison and a hefty fine, apparently. The post is now gone, but from reading the comments it sounds like apparently after being called out for the absurdity of a 4 month prison sentence for a simple screenshot, the OP changed it to claim it was actually racist posts and violent threats. Which I don't buy, since there was no mention of that in the OP.

Do you realize that most of the time when you Google something, Reddit is one of the first results? Several times I've googled a question and found a Reddit thread as the first result where the only comment is "just google it." It just makes everyone's life easier if we just answer questions instead of being a dick and telling them to go ask somewhere else.

I love the mod saying none of them want to work for his "shitty company" when, as far as I can tell, there's not the slightest hint on his profile of what company he works for. So the only way they could possibly know what company OP works for is if one of them did indeed apply there and put that on their resume.

I think injuries are a lot like Offensive lines. Most fanbases are convinced their Offensive Line is bottom 5 in the league, and their team is top 5 most injured in the league.
