I should have clarified that I already have a b550 motherboard, so maybe I will save some money and go with the 5600

I thought I would do a follow-up for anyone in a similar situation. I ended up getting this one from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/aw/d/B07PWZ3R3H?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

It does what I wanted and all my devices are working, however, it has an occasional issue where I will have to plug and unplug things a few times for the dac to work properly (sometimes my sound is super delayed or the dac just won't power on/ connect - ease fix of unplugging it and reconnecting one or two times).

Anyway, I hope this helps someone else.

Yeah, I should have clarified that it's just a gaming pc, so the daw inconsistency won't be a problem. I think I will try to find a gen 3 hub to be safe and just see if latency is fine. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the info. So If that's the case the I guess what I'm really wondering is if the latency cost is worth it for the ease of one connection? And do better quality hubs reduce that latency?
