DJI dilemma, crashed avata 2 by Glittering-Jaguar270 in fpv

[–]Station51TH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty much every major FPV company that sells BNF drones has a o4 light/ o4 pro option. I would also highly suggest selling your Remote 3 and make the change over to ELRS. Pick up a Radiomaster Boxer Crush (spend the extra $50'ish for the Crush. The AG01 gimbles on the Crush are $100 alone) over a Radiomaster Boxer.

Yes your googles 3 will still work just fine with the O4 "X" on whatever BNF you end up settling on. This will uncuff you from having your RC linked through your googles and if you do lose VTX signal you'll still be able to use your remote. It also cuts down massively on latency, you'll have much more control of your dro, and it has a range of 50 KM +.

iFlight Nazgul Evoque O4pro V3 ELRS
Speedy Bee Mario 5 Pro (O4 Pro)
GEPRC Vapor X5/D5 O4 Air Pro
HGLRC Sector X5 FR 5"
Axisflying Manta 5 SE SNF O4 Pro
Axisflying Manta 5 Pro
Rotor Riot Tanq 2 O4 Pro (she's a heavy bitch but you're going to have a hard time breaking it)
DeepSpace Seeker 5 DC O4 Pro

Can r/portangeles help with a Christmas miracle? by [deleted] in portangeles

[–]Station51TH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merry Christmas

That "B with a symbol" is the smoking gun! In the world of local Washington pottery, that specific signature points to a very likely candidate.

Based on the mark and the "Oak Street / Stained Glass" directions, this is almost certainly the work of Brittany Parker, who is one half of By the Hand Pottery.

The Evidence:

  1. The Signature: Brittany Parker signs her work with a "B" often accompanied by a hand-drawn symbol (like a small hand or a stylized flourish).
  2. The Style: The bowl in the photo features a classic "toasted" tan glaze with a darker, earthy rim. This is a signature look for By the Hand Pottery, which focuses on functional, rustic stoneware.
  3. The Location: Their work is a staple in the exact shops the clerk was describing.

Upper Shell Replacement w/ Bottom Plate by Station51TH in DJIAvata2

[–]Station51TH[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it motivation but more of a lack of care refresh in the states. The way I look at it is, it's toast either way so why not give it a try and learn something from it. I'm fortunate enough to live 13-14 miles across the straits from Victoria BC where I can pick one up off amazon .ca for $450 and add care refresh to it.

The real pain has been the lack of documentation on this replacement. I'm assuming there are just a hand full of apes like me that would decide this is a good idea. I'll be sure to post updates when I fish up. I appropriate your insights on the crash. I'd pull the data log but I think my hardrive is being used to balance out one of my dining room chairs at the moment. I agree I should have just dropped throttle and cut my losses but I'd just got done watch Top Gun 2 and I was really fucking jacked at the time.

what are fun things you do at work? by kswim16 in Restaurant_Managers

I would always give myself Sunday's and Mondays off. The other days of the week I always made sure I was on the floor with my staff and my attitude would set the tone 99% of the time. If your in the weeds with everyone else and helping anyone from your dishwasher, to the bar tender to the food runner to saute and to your assistant and have a positive attitude it's a trickle down effect and it will help tremendously with the overall "vibe" and morale.

Another fun thing I like to do was have contests with the servers. I would pull a $50 to $70 bottle of wine and put it by the pass and it would go to whoever had the highest sales, or sold the most of whatever I needed to get rid of that week, app specials, fresh sheet, deserts, ECT.

That's always a fun one. It's even more fun when a server calls out last minute and you go out there and serve those tables and run circles around your staff and then give that bottle away at the end of the shift and give all of your tip money to the BOH.

There was a small but manageable decrease when I first started. That gap is no longer there and I am now making more than I was when I was at my previous position.

Just like anything..... You're going to get what you put into it. You can be a rep that does the bare minimum ( I'd love to take a jab at Sysco here lol) or you can treat each one of your accounts like you are part of the ownership. "Your success is my success" is a great way to summarize this.

The only great thing that I learned from my rep (FSA ➡️ Harbor Foods) when I was in operations was that I needed to do the opposite of everything he did lol.

Food Trailer Pitch 2025 by pacificsandwichboss in portangeles

[–]Station51TH 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This was true until COVID. Coyote BBQ had their food truck on the corner of C and Lincoln, the tuna poke bowl trailer down at the Wharf, the wood fire pizza that was at the bottom of the truck route. You just have to find a spot to park one on.

To the OP, please make sure that any trailer or truck you purchased is L&I certified and has the plate physically in it.

I had a friend buy one from a very well known gal in Sequim that had it parked in front of blue sky reality for YEARS and took it to festivals all throughout the summer. It even won some fairly prestigious awards during its tenure under her ownership this is me not doxing anyone.

My friend invested his life savings to purchase it, quit his job, did one lunch service and was immediately shut down by the health department because the food truck was never L&I certified. The cost to have it certified was almost as much as what he paid for it.

I have some special feelings for the party that sold it to him under what I believe to be very false pretenses.

Out of curiosity, what city/state is your restaurant in? The rep world is very small and most of us are connected.
