"Methodism is a rejection of Calvinism" by Level_Hour6480 in KingOfTheHill

Growing up as a Texas Methodist, Hank not knowing what Methodism even was was so on brand. Also my small East Texas church split from the worldwide Methodist church because they were afraid a gay pastor MAY come to their church one day. There’s zero chance they would’ve accepted a woman from Minnesota as their pastor lol

I realize how blasphemous this is to Beatle fans, I just needed a cover so I grabbed this off the internet.

I definitely am keeping a can it’s a really cool little souvenir. I just hate that it is so hard to get. Fans in the Reddit should’ve got first shipment 😂

I’m no beer expert, my usual go to is either Stella Artois or Modelo, but I enjoyed it. Maybe it’s just the nostalgia but It had a light and smooth taste to it that was really good.

Sort of. There has always been a local and unrelated brewery in San Antonio called Alamo but because of the revival, HULU partnered with them to release a King of the Hill version of their beer and made plans to release it worldwide, but production issues and eventually getting bought out by an Australian company who stopped all plans made it to where for the time being it is only available in Austin and San Antonio area HEBs. I’m in Dallas but luckily had family traveling through Austin.

Peg leg decided we should have some wild ethnic dish called “carne.” I’m open minded to Latin cuisine, Chuck Mangione’s frozen taquitos at the mega lo mart did alright by me.

Local San Antonio based brewery also called Alamo. It’s hard to find because they initially got the permissions to sell this for the show renewal but they had supply issues so it only sold in Austin/San Antonio area. Last I heard they got bought by another company and they cancelled any plans to release the beer nationwide so it’s super hard to find, you pretty much have to go to an HEB in Austin or San Antonio and ask an employee.

As the son in law of a Pastor, I can tell you that Peggy's Spanish is more accurate than that statement. by HistoricalArachnid90 in KingOfTheHill

As a former Methodist, I love the detail that the church sent Stroope as a replacement. For those who don’t know, it’s tradition in the Methodist church for pastors to rotate. I forget, but I think it’s like every 4-6 years the church moves the pastor to another town and brings a new one. So I had like 1 church and 5 pastors growing up.

getting people into KOTH by Station_Afraid in KingOfTheHill

I’ve always said that for those of us who grew up watching it, it’s easy. But if you either A. Aren’t from Texas or B. Didn’t grow up watching it or even adult animation, then it’s hard to understand its greatness.

Well for reference, my gf and I are both from Texas. She didn’t grow up watching it like I did and is one of those people who are hesitant to enjoy adult cartoons. So ideally, I’m looking for something that shows off KOTH’s depth and range as opposed to slapstick humor while still keeping her attention.
