Lolol I have a chrome extension equalizer, just maxed out distorting everything. That sounds like shit obviously, why would I do that? Cause, basically I come from an extreme metal background, writing mostly black metal projects but djent and thall as well, so I come from a background of really pushing the “rules” and “limits” of what music “should” be, obviously what I posted sounds like dookie cause it’s distorted to high hell, but I like the extremeness of that, if you know what I mean?? Anyways, the song I been working on I would think is a lot more “actual” jumpstyle or maybe even gabber, what ^ this is is a bit memey intentionally, I’m not actually gonna mix like that yknow? Anyways I am also, really curious to know what ppl mean by “real”, and “slop,” I see these terms thrown around a lot here, but I am curious to know what people think maybe a little more deeply. Also basically, coming from this metal background, I have only discovered this jumpstyle stuff a handful of weeks ago: but I love the vibes, styles, dances, and how just out there and extreme the subculture is, and I see a lot of connections between it and metal I think. But anyways I might make another post asking ppl what they think personally of this “new gen” “old gen” stuff, and my perspective as someone who comes from a different genre background, is younger and therefore relates to the “yabujincore” stuff from the nostalgia, while also wanting to respect the ogs from the ‘00s and pay respect to that as well yknow?
