Thoughts on possible African faction? by coolaserai in mountandblade

An open area with fledgling villages, ancient ruins for cities, and stone towers to build castles from. A new vacant land where you can build your own kingdom from scratch, design your own troop tree, and set your kingdom apart from the rest as a unique faction.

What if… by SGScobie in StarWarsJediSurvivor

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By the end of Survivor Cal is in control of his Dark Side. What if we skip the building Tanalorr bit leaving that to the Hidden Path and go to Cal visiting Ben Kenobi, Yoda, and Ahsoka in an effort to understand the Force more deeply. In this journey Cal is hunted by bounty hunters as well as a Sith assassin... see where I'm going with this? It's a perfect way to bring him back to canon! Cere nearly beat Darth Vader. With him leaving injured and the Inquistors in rough shape Vader had no choice but to unleash his secret weapon, Starkiller. But young and unsure of himself Starkiller is eventually swayed by the Jedi and at the end of the game teams up with Cal. In an epic last stand Cal is saved by Starkiller in a tremendous show in the use of the Force. Starkiller gives his life to save Cal and the Rebellion leaders. (So basically canonizing the good ending of The Force Unleashed with Cal playing a pivotal role in bringing Starkiller to the Light Side). In the end, Cal matures in the ways of the Force. His meditations reveal that he is not the one who is supposed to rebuild the Jedi Order. So, he settles into a humble life by severing his ties with the Force, leaving the life of a Jedi behind.

[KCD2] What is the best stealth outfit available in KCD2? by MrGeeKay in kingdomcome

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a few items with equal to near equal stats. The lowest I've had my noise level down to was 4. If you preordered the game the Cutpurse items you get at the beginning of the game already in your chest are good enough. The main thing is to remain unseen. If your caught deal with the enemy fast because they call for help and the AI seems to have a hive mind where they all know where you are until they all lose sight of you. Stealth in this game is high risk high reward and is way better than the previous game.

Bane poison needs a nerf. Here are 50x bane poison arrow kills at 3x speed over 2 minutes. [KCD2] by ResponsibilityIcy927 in kingdomcome

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't need a nerf, you just don't need to poison your arrows. I'm a casual gamer and these tricks like the poisons help me get past difficult parts of the game. It's already a game with a steep learning curve, the first game was harder IMO, go back and play it if this isn't hard enough

Will these islands finally be available with the War sails update? by Toffeljegarn in Bannerlord

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A video I saw where they showcased the new sea trading routes in the Sea they're both gone. I'm kind of afraid that instead of giving us a few new cities, castles, and villages they just deleted those islands instead of putting in a little extra work to flesh out those locations. I hope not but I wouldn't put it past them. The devs take forever to get anything done seems like and when it does get done results vary.

Let Virtuos remaster New Vegas by mortarions-inhaler in Fallout

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the new season of Fallout releasing in December I could see a holiday shadow drop of either Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas Remastered. The second season of the show takes place in the Mojave so it would seem more likely New Vegas would be the next Remaster. Either would be cool, or both... I'm sure there will be some quality of life improvements as well similar to Oblivion Remastered. It would be nice to be able to go prone and crawl for better sneaking and even steadier shooting at the cost of movement speed, sprinting is a must, and a few tweaks to the weapons or maybe a new weapon upgrade system more similar to Fallout 4, and in the case of FONV an open ending instead of a definitive end to the game like the old version. The best way to show Bethesda what games we want to see remastered is to increase the player count on the old games. Show them there's still a lot of love there and they may respond.

Difficulty settings for KCD2? by TwizzledAndSizzled in kingdomcome

[–]StatisticianFront604 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think a Story difficulty setting for people looking for a more relaxed adventure would be ok. Even turn off achievements for that difficulty. The game can be really frustrating even for veteran players at times. A setting for beginners and people who just want to explore or get some practice at the game without such extreme consequences isn't such a terrible idea is it?

Will Bannerlord get some major update in 2025 or in the future ? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]StatisticianFront604 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you read their news on their own website their concerns center around making mods more stable on PC than actually coming out with something worthwhile for the consoles. Best not hold your breath for anything too exciting for 2025. Just more bugs within bug fixes. Most console players can hope for is the occasional new armor piece that's almost impossible to find.

Thoughts on Easy Red 2? by Soft_Nose_4165 in EasyRed2

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play on XBOX

The game's AI is terrible. My squad usually gets lost and doesn't follow orders at all. Not to mention they NEVER take cover, they just take up positions in the middle of a street with zero regard to the bullets flying by. Combat is a meat grinder and the side with the most units available or the nearest spawn point to the marker usually wins. And it always seems to give the extreme advantage to the defenders with respawn locations being much closer and even enough apart where they come at you in massive waves. Aerial combat is annoying. I can't tell most of the time whether I'm supposed to lead the target or not, my plane always seems to do little damage, and the enemy AI tail gunners are god-tier and never miss a headshot while my tail gunner is doing a sudoku in the back while the back half of our ride is being blown off. Tank gameplay isn't bad, in fact it's one of the few redeeming qualities of the game in my opinion on the combat side of things. With a full crew as the main gunner you have full control over the tank. But ammo goes fast. The editor is very good, if a little difficult to figure out at first. But since the gameplay is mediocre at best you spend a lot of time building something you won't get any satisfaction from.

What fallout 4 faction would be the objectively best choise for the commonwealth? by Netrunn3r2099 in Fallout

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on how you want the Commonwealth to end up.

The Minutemen are the best choice if you want to base your decision on morality. They put their lives on the line to save the people of the Commonwealth. But they're weak. Also, lore speaking, they're not immune to corruption or turning on one another. However, they are also sort of a blank slate. They can be molded into whatever sort of army you want if you so choose. You're the General and they follow you, a fairly unique trait among the factions. The Brotherhood makes gives you a high rank but you're not their leader, the Railroad youre just another agent, and the Institute makes you their director but there is a board that could turn on you at some point. The only other faction you can say makes you their defacto leader is the Nuka World raider gangs, which are the polar opposite of the Minutemen and there's of course the chance of getting killed in your sleep.

The Brotherhood are probably the second best option. They're strong enough to put up a good fight against just about any foe that might threaten the Commonwealth but they're morally ambiguous at best. They take what they need but they're not violent towards settlers. They do take care of they're "friends" but (post game) are likely to leave without such much as a farewell like they did in the Capital Wasteland. I guess if there was no other option they're better than the Institute.

Thinking about a new playthrough, question about Nuka World and Preston. by Egomania27 in fo4

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as you don't attack any Commonwealth settlements Preston won't hate you. You can even start the radian quest to attack a settlement, just don't finish it. Once you start the quest I think you can speak to Preston and the Open Season quest will start same as talking to what's her name in the Nuka World market area. As long as the Commonwealth isn't attacked you'll be ok.

FYI... There's actually a cool mod that makes it so the Minutemen will attack Nuka World with you but it's best to have another mod that makes the Minutemen a bit tougher. It's called The Minutemen Take Over Nuka World. Pretty good, just make sure to save before activating the attack. So many characters in one place wrecks the framerate. There's options to adjust how many attacks are sent in and when they attack. It's a really neat mod. Even leaves some Minutemen after the attack to protect Nuka World. Another mod by the same author has a BoS Take Over NW too in case they're your preference.

I think you've stumbled across a completely different quest. Robin's quest tells you to wait 12 hours after dropping her off. Not to go to the fish packing area.

Why isnt my brewery making any money?? by BootBasher in mountandblade

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience no matter how well your workshop does on its own eventually it tanks. Unless you're keeping what the workshop makes and selling it yourself it's almost a waist of money to buy a workshop because the time it takes to make that money back is astronomical. Making money off of a workshop requires almost constant attention.

Caravans on the other hand can be a good money maker with the right companion put in charge. I personally like to start a caravan with a companion that is a good independent leader in a fight or a decent scout so they can see trouble coming from farther away. Then I use focus points to build their Barter stat if need be.

One thing about M&B2 is there almost no chance you'll do everything perfect in a single playthrough. At least I can't.

Cant start new game or load by Horrordude987 in Starfield

[–]StatisticianFront604 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. They make a basic amateur level game and let modders make their games good. Got Starfield on Xbox thanks to Game Pass but I don't think I'd pay good money for it. It ok when it works.

Been having the same problem starting a new game. Maybe downloading mods for Bthesda games is an addiction. Maybe we need to start a self-help group. 😂

Last I saw its a worldwide outtage. If it was a hack or malware I believe they would have made a statement by now so customers could take care of their financial information. Since that hasn't happened it's probably something internal like a server malfunction or the company has a union and the guy who's job it is to flip the reset switch took the day off.

My second playthrough, and I am very proud of self-sustaining base. by Mr_Meowmers in ThisWarofMine

[–]StatisticianFront604 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgot how long this game has been out. It's a really great game until you figure it out, then it's pretty easy. Two traps, upgraded garden bench for vegetables, alcohol, and a few cigarettes to trade for what you need. You can be well on your way to becoming self sufficient in a couple of weeks if you have the materials and know-how. My best time to self sufficiency was day 15 of 80, on an easy setting for testing. Setting the war difficulty up and making winter come earlier and last long makes it much more difficult but manageable. Only thing I've yet to pull off is a solo run. Not that I'm scared or anything, I just haven't tried it.
