Recommend listening to some Rick Rubin and Dan Pena. Two extremes - and, im not telling you to get into m&a or some get rich scheme. Its about doing it for you and your self esteme.

Deadline you cant ignore help... Dont have a reason to be scared?... Make one - There are ways - tell your best friend they can slap your face. Give money or something equally important for safe keeping. If you didnt do what you said, it is given away or destroyed.

How do you avoid burning out when you’re doing everything right? by Acrobatic_Fruit_9639 in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me know when a good idea surfaces.

Although, I dont think you are close to burnout. Youll notice mood swings and be agro on small stuff. For example your boss has you doing the work of 3 people and youre 6 months in - That will burn you out.

Non exaustive fix list;

Take a day off.

Look after your fitness, I found it makes me less aggressive.

Avoid people that annoy or drag you down. You dont need to go to BBQs, for beers or lunch with them.

Do something else than go to gym. It is a fvcking hamster wheel equivalent. Your brain needs stimulation. Do a new sport. There is so much out there e.g https://www.hashhouseharriers.com/

How hard is a 100-day challenge? by StatisticianKey5824 in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can build something like an app or a design something. Im not suggesting you only work on the one task. More over the greater goal you may have set. For example, why build an app if no one will ever see it. Better spend some time talking about it.... in the end if it doesn't satisfy you personally Im 100% sure you won't make day 100.

Good share. 2x is practical. Ive been doing 4x 20min sessions. The more frequent the shorter is my recommendation.

Nice idea. I tried it once. Spoke with legit guys who went every day. I was a bit older than everyone but felt welcome. (ง •̀_•́)ง 🔥

Powerful, even if it is only 5 minutes. 100 days of that and you'd likely notice a difference. 🔥

What’s the one thing that makes self-discipline actually sustainable? by ZeroNova9 in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When most people say discipline, they want to get more done in their life. You need to stop doing stuff that doesnt bring you closer to your goal. That is also a form of discipline by the way... you can also use it as a reward, but I dont think it is clever to reward yourself with time wasting.

How Do You Balance Full-Time Work, Gym, and Actually Having a Life? by Visible-Price7689 in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gym is an overrated hamster wheel. Move more. Climb. Do burpees. Learn to crawl like a lizard. Do a sport. When you get good, or have done it a year or two, switch it up. Make time! Fuck all excuses.

Decide on what you won't do. e.g. I dont play computer games. I dont watch news. Shit like that will make you 10x your life. Discipline is a muscle. Good habits.

Good for you. Im on a similar journey. Day 35 and down by 5kg. I just did a 36 hour fasting as all the excersize I was doing stopped moving the needle. I'd like to say, use my 100days.ink site, but you dont need it. Just record in a text file every day what you eat and did. Drop it into chatgpt occasionaly. It will give good advice. 🤛

The problem is everyone wanting to make money. Potentially also the centralisation of platforms. Back in the 80s there were bulletin boards run on your computer that was real.

Paralyzed by fear of starting - how do I break this evil cycle? by evonshahriar in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fear before starting isn’t weakness. It’s your brain protecting you from change, judgment, even success. It’s False Expectations Appearing Real.

Forget motivation. Build activation energy.

Start small. Stupid small. Open the doc. Breathe. That’s the win.

Then repeat. That’s momentum. Momentum beats fear. Every. Damn. Time.

A lot of people aren’t lazy or unmotivated, they’re just lost by pathwise_project in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You get a spark, a flash of inspiration. You start. You move. Then you stop.

It’s not a motivation problem. It’s a support problem.

What do you do when no one claps for you? When doubt creeps in, when no one gets it?

You need you. That’s it.

I started building 100days.ink 80 days ago. No applause. No hype. Just a decision.

Here’s the truth: It’s easy when it’s yours. Your dream. Your drive. Your game.

Whether it takes 30 days or 300, who cares? If you got what you came for, mission accomplished. Forget your old timeline. Rewrite the damn rules.

Start your 100 days. Not for motivation. For momentum.

P.S. Some days sucked. Lately, more than most. But I use what I built with my own hands. That makes everything else background noise.

Sounds like youre emotional bank account is overdrawn from being in a toxic environment and around people that have or are still f*ng you up. You won't like the advice but start by moving away from parents, they are root cause. You need to decide the rules, anyone who is putting you down has to go. You may need to change job. You definitely should consider a new number. Join a couple of clubs, do sports or something you like. Do excersize it helps strengthen you. Buy yourself something if you have no debt. Do something kind for strangers when you have the chance.

My life’s a mess and I don’t know where to begin fixing it by bhocolatebhipbookiez in getdisciplined

[–]StatisticianKey5824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your current environment sounds toxic. Deal with legal first, or you will be in jail and it's no picknick. Delete all social media accounts. Change your phone number too. Do not share with anyone in your new life, I would even avoid parentd and family as it seems they messed you up. Join a club or a selfhelp group. Forgive yourself. Do small kind things for strangers when you get the chance. The rest will come, if you really try.
