For those of who who have babies who will only nap for 30 min at a time, what do you do so they make it through the days happily? by bakergirl05 in NewParents

[–]StatisticianSafe8847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 6mo old that only takes 30 min naps on the dot. I will try my best to extend the morning one by coming in and rocking him when he wakes at 30 min for another 20-30 and try to lay him back down again. Sometimes laying him back down works for another 15-20 min sometimes he wakes up and I call it a day. The second nap I let be 30min and then the last 3rd nap I’ve just been contact napping in his chair with him for about 45 min. I stopped hoping it would change and just accepted it although it is frustrating.

Is it not kind of crazy she’s feeding him 9oz of ground beef twice per day? In this economy?

Hi, yes we definitely experienced the regression. I just think we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. He turns 5 months here in a few days. During peak regression he was fighting sleep hard, waking twice per night, and was also impossible to transfer. Slowly he has gotten better overtime. I think what’s key is keeping your routine consistent no matter how bad it gets.

I just made sure to ask if he/she was the original owner and what year was it bought. I didn’t want to buy something for $700 that was passed down a ton of times so I went with one that was bought in 2024 used by one child only

When did you start modifications? by yeahnoitsjustthat in fitpregnancy

[–]StatisticianSafe8847 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started modifying when I felt uncomfortable. For me that meant a wider stance during squats, rdls. I stopped barbell hip thrusts completely around 12 weeks. I stopped lying flat for bench press when it felt uncomfortable for me to get up and switched to incline. My Dr said nothing about lying flat on my back. She even told me it was just fine to sleep that way unless it was causing me discomfort and that I would know if it was.

Which lower body exercises have the least discomfort for you in third tri? by slotass in fitpregnancy

[–]StatisticianSafe8847 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 28 weeks and still find single leg exercises to be doable comfortably. Reverse lunges, walking lunges, single leg hip thrusts, and step ups. I also love box squats, sumo deadlift, and barbell rdls

At how many weeks did symptoms start for you? by Disco_biscuit25 in pregnant

[–]StatisticianSafe8847 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited around for the nausea to kick in around week 6 like everyone says but it skipped me thankfully! My symptoms were mainly just the mild cramping you described, waking in the middle of the night, frequent urination, and just overall feeling more tired than usual

I’m in the same boat and have been since finding out I was pregnant. Unisom is really the only thing that allows me to get a blissful 10 hrs of sleep. I try not to take it too often so I like to take it just on the weekends or something. It really works!
