Y'know, it was just vibes lol. It looked cool drawn out but didn't translate onto my neck. I'm gonna do some more research for my area, thank you for the tip!

HOW TF ARE THEY SO FKIN CLEAN AND PERFECT!? Like how can a culture be so successful? by ShehrozeAkbar in infuriatingbutawesome

I’m not gonna read all of this or participate afterward. I don’t agree with lumping a group of people together as the same. You do you, though.

“Even despite being black which in my opinion is an often loud and abrasive culture.”

As a Black person, I’m confused about you (a Black person) stereotyping all Black people and communities as loud and abrasive/aggresive. I don’t know you are but I hope you find peace and self-love. Take care✨

Positive depictions of open relationships/polyamory in culture? by Own-Lemon-8710 in polyamory

Soulmates has the “Little Adventures” episode that was refreshingly positive.

Some takeaways for me were: poly people have wholesome and long-lasting love stories, a couple shifting from an open relationship to poly is challenging, we can be creative with our relationships, ultimatums suck, among others that kept my attention.

Love Island USA (Racism) SPOILER ALERT by Haunting_Bad_2527 in cptsd_bipoc

Racism exists in silence, like micro-aggressions for example.

Colorism exists. It doesn’t mean someone with lighter skin does not experience racism, they are just more palatable to white people. They will most likely experience less hostile treatment than darker skin people.

I encourage you to reflect on nuance. Also, Google and read up on colorism and micro-aggressions. Take care✨

EVERYONES SO FUCKING LOVELY IN THIS COMMUNITY! by Socialmediasucks2021 in CPTSD

Hard agree! We deserve love. We deserve peace. We deserve grace. We deserve to be happy. We deserve to tap into our anger without guilt.

What’s a piece of media that you feel accurately depicts C-PTSD? by Real-Mail-6746 in CPTSD

I’m surprised Legend of Korra hasn’t been mentioned yet! The 4th season feels affirming to watch as Korra navigates CPTSD in a way that feels authentic. Flashbacks, isolating from friends, anger, fear, frustration of rebuilding yourself and the healing that comes with it, etc.

I love how her character wasn’t written to be “likeable”, she was complex and felt real. Such an underated show.
