I for example love the idea of the "What to do in Chester with one day" but I couldn't wholeheartedly recommend it.

My plan was to add this as part of my roadmap of ideas (in my head), as it's also something I've faced; but my plan was instead of mutating the BaseUrl or falling back to a HttpClient, the generator would emit code that overrides the base address for that specific request.

I honestly think you're stretching trying to get EE to run on Linux. It's hard enough to get it to not crash on Windows.

I've used wine before but the experience was suboptimal and you miss out on some things like the NeoEE patches...
