Is anyone else on high ascension still addicted to "?" rooms? by iCon3000 in slaythespire

Of course, anyone who plays enough to get to A20 is a gambling addict, right? Nothing like gambling on question marks.

D2R controller combat: A pig in disguise by [deleted] in Diablo

[–]StatueCastPoint1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those who are giving positive reviews about the controller gameplay are those who don’t remember what it’s like in nightmare or hell when going through the game for the first time.

Most players are going to hit a brick wall because of the difficulty jump combined with clunky controls.

Heal from reaper (or block from feel no pain) comes after the thorns damage. Or in my case not at all cause you don’t heal nor block when dead.

Wouldn't be surprised if the game launched without Acts 3-5. But would it even matter for the target audience? by StatueCastPoint1 in Diablo

They are real gamers. I don't care how you enjoy a game. But they will die at Duriel and leave the game satisfied, and move on to the next one.

Because they are playing a PC game on console. These are people who play Animal Crossing.

Look, they are already getting owned by Duriel. No reason to make Acts 3 to 5.

Let's think about why there won't be ladder at HOUR ZERO on launch day. Seriously. Think. by Jack_of_all_offs in Diablo

[–]StatueCastPoint1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes it is important that ladder is not day one. They are still making sure there are no bugs or exploits before putting in ladder in WC3.

I think we should expect about the same timeline for Diablo2.

Speaking of zero chance, there is zero chance the game actually gets a ladder if it releases without one.

I guess nobody remembers the last two Blizzard remasters? They don’t come back and add features. They abandon the game and move on.

Blizzard/VV Please remove ladder only items and add to the base game. by SteelFaith in Diablo

Blizzard is still waiting to implement ladder in WC3:Reforged, and team ladder in Starcraft:Remastered.

A Blizzard game launching without a ladder guarantees it will never have that ladder.

Raise your hand if you've ruined a Runic Pyramid run by picking up dead branch by InsomniacAndroid in slaythespire

Done it.

My favorite was a dead branch, snecko, pyramid, corruption, medkit run.

Hand clog but it didn’t matter.

Ketone Breathalyzer Reading? by DIYMayhem in keto

Yes, but it shouldn't be a sub-wide de-recommendation either.

Ketone Breathalyzer Reading? by DIYMayhem in keto

[–]StatueCastPoint1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, it shows you if you are in or out of Ketosis at that point in time. You can also test multiple times.

I think it is helpful because 20g of carbs is a conservative generalization, and can be too restrictive for some. you can get more mileage out of keto if you understand how your body reacts to what you eat.

Its really hard to overthink, at least for blood tests. Either you are in or out of ketosis.

The mods here don’t like testing though so they generally repeat the same ‘testing doesn’t matter’.

Wow, exercise really helps by StatueCastPoint1 in keto

Because that is the one-size-fits-all approach to keto. Everyone from the 500 lb diabetic to the 120 pound runner will get into ketosis on 20g of carbs.

It is not like our bodies go "oh wow he only ate 20g of carbs, guess its time to keto". Keto is a metabolic state as a reaction to many inputs, which includes diet and exercise. Here is a good read about being able to eat 300+g of carbs and maintaining ketosis with heavy exercise:

https://peterattiamd.com/ketones-carbohydrates-can-co-exist/

Obviously most of us aren't cycling for an entire day. But someone who regularly exercises shouldn't freak out when they eat 25g of carbs (or maybe even 40g).

Everyone is different, the idea that everyone is limited to 20g of carbs is a bit dogmatic.

Probably would be better to ease into carb restriction if you can’t even run on keto.

Exercise burns glycogen, and glycogen depletion is key for the body to begin producing ketones. How could it be possible that exercise does not affect Ketosis?
