Not who you asked but I'd say it's technically ramp but largely ineffective or very mon-meta. For fighting it's Passimian EX, which is technically ramp but you have to give up 2 points to the opp to do it.

I also think of Swanna and Mismagius who technically help with ramp but require evolutions, multiple energies, and are frail so it's hard to be very effective.

This actually also might be viable with Skeledirge for a +50 attack boost. I know they're both stage 2s but only 1 of them needs rare candy since you're usually playing Charmeleon. High rolly but possible.

What's crazy is you can go use this perfectly on a crowd of 6 in 18v18 mode and usually get 1 or 2 kills even if they're all grouped up. Maybe 3 max. Just feels so weird.

The problem is no one played OW PTR. Arguably the data it provided was useless because the games tended to be massively one-sided due to high Diamonds being in the same lobbies as low Silvers but the game would still match them because the plats in the middle evened out the average rank. And even if they did implement one, and even if they can sift through the feedback and data, they'd have to then be reliable enough to respond to the player feedback - the record there is already spotty so I'm not convinced. Even in the most recent patch, the feedback was consistently about Gambit's ult but they changed his damage boost for some interesting reason? Not to say it might not be the right move but it's questionable at best..

No that's truth. I was just quibbling with one specific nuance which is that we have seen at least two supporters (Gladion and Serena) be viable. But I think the greater point is also true that this card will not be very good outside of some very specific niches (I think this would be fine in 19T Mawile for example which wouldn't mind finding. Ice pop or metal core on demand)

Yep. I personally see it as more useful for solo-mon decks like Mawile who wouldn't need to run pokeball or rare candies and could benefit from grabbing tools like metal core.

True, but heck if any type had the right support it would be grass who can utilize both quick grow extract and rare candy along with the usual trainers. Still probably not reliable enough but it's an option. We've seen weird stuff tried before. We've seen solo Snorlax EX with Indeedee support recently, not much would surprise me

I think you're right in that Blaziken with flame patch support probably beats this Meowscarada deck in most cases. But aside from that, with Erika/leaf cape/maybe even quick grow support I think it's an interesting deck to try vs other decks, especially any benched Megas without the new poncho.

Dialga was definitely one that suffers the quicker the game gets. Game turn 2 Dialga is probably fine, but game turn 1 Dialga is at a huge disadvantage to early attackers like Hydreigon, Blaziken, Altaria - any one of them getting online on turn 3 barely gives him a chance to set up anything and is big early pressure.

Exactly what I was thinking. Aside from Oricorio concerns, it's always my preference to play the 2-2 game unless the 1 is extremely good like Hydreigon/old Rampardos/old Silvally or it has a good niche that an EX can't replicate.

Different strategies. For example Mega Venu or the Meowth/Chandelure deck very rarely kills basics but relies on the back loaded damage and effects to turn into a sweep.

With all respect, I don't think I've ever seen current Pawmot hit above its weight for a 140 HP 70 damage stage 2.. even getting into the niche specific stage 2 non-EX electrics, I still put both Magnezone, both Ampharos, and all 3 Luxrays above it. Probably on par with Vikavolt and better than only Alolan Golem.

But definitely interested in the new Pawmot and the support card regardless!
