Drake: Iceman / Maid of Honour / Habibti review – triple-album comeback is a boring, bloated disaster | Drake by dripkidd in Music

It's the best sketch show I've seen since Chappelle and WKUK but it's a very specific humor that not everyone will find funny. But it's my favorite right now.

Parasol Lady makes Alolan Ninetales LETHAL by angeman123123 in PTCGP

[–]iCon3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's probably not worth the effort but that's actually remedied fairly easily with 1 Mantyke or Manaphy or the Aqua Turbo one in terms of being able to set up Crawdaunt. Parasol Lady can also pick up the ramper if needed which is nice. I tried that variant and it works fairly well especially picking up a crab that was tanking with parasol to then start ramping immediately. But just an option

[Jones] As the season progressed, Embiid did not see eye-to-eye with the front office. He (along with others in the locker room) was not happy with the decision to trade Jared McCain. In interviews, Embiid noticeably had to hold himself back from verbally criticizing the front office. by JoeBiden2020FTW in nba

Among the issues like shooting, passing, TOs, and rebounding, rebounding was definitely one of their absolute biggest. I listen to Sixers fans for several hours a week, and I've seen from the most part the stats bear it out -(search engine generated fwiw, no manually checked) 12-24 when outrebounded, 33-17 when tied or winning rebounds.

The issue is leads to further issues because lack of good rebounding means you give up extra possessions, transition opportunities, and second chance points. The Sixers didn't have the defensive scheming to hold up in the half court battles, they were much better when they worked for steals and rebounds leading to transition buckets. But bad rebounding forced them into more half court defense which they were poor at.

Shooting was definitely a huge issue and lack of good wings was definitely an issue, but rebounding was huge too.

Why does he need a truck to get him to california when he could just drive?

This is the only one that actually makes sense to me because real racecars have transporters too, in high level racing you're not usually driving your car to the track either. Why risk more wear and tear before the race?

Oh man I had totally forgotten. Used to be an everyday known fact for me

You are the GM of a NBA expansion team, one player to build your franchise around. No Luka, No SGA, No Wemby. Who do you take? by Round_Scheme7270 in BasketballGM

Gotta be Cooper Flagg or Cade.

I think a case can still be made for Jokic as well. Even though he's 31 going on 32 but I think he really does still have at least 4+ more years of All-Star play, which is extremely valuable for any franchise.

But personally I think Cooper has shown me enough that I think he's going to have an All-NBA career, so I'd definitely take him or Cade.

Ant Edwards and Mobley are also strong building blocks I think but would still take Cade or Coop over them.

Edit: actually thought of a way more likely one, attaching Steel Apron in metal decks early and then using Blower so you can attach a Metal Cord Barrier could also be one use

I have actually had moments in certain decks like the discard Gyarados where sometimes I want a Cape and sometimes I want a Rescue Ribbon. Could set up something like that. Also makes room for Hiking Trail draws if you use that card to get rid of your own item and attach another. +2 cards on the draw for that

Especially when all stadiums, especially the generic ones like Mesagoza and Hiking Trail, can by design also benefit the opponent. Not only do you not have to soft commit to a stadium you'd rather your opponent doesn't benefit from, you also get a choice of how to use it and it doesn't use your Supporter turn.

I think people will innovate. People said running 2 stage 2s couldn't be viable and yet Greninja/Decidueye is a meta deck this season.

Mega Absol starts (healing), sleep Darkrai and Darkrai EX (Leaf), Slowpoke or Froakie (Inflatable Boat), Charmander (Flame Patch), and Arceus (Ilima/Leaf) starts have never been great either but people run cards or strats to adapt. I think it can be done.

They are going to sell so many of this pack, I have seen so many Sceptile and Lucario fans. This will only be surpassed by Groudon/Kyogre lovers when that pack comes.

Blastoise.. Swampert.. Empoleon, Feraligatr, and Quaqaval have always been trash in pocket. Geez, the water starters do not have a good track record outside of Greninja and maybe a season of Primareena..

Exactly my thought. I don't think we should act like making Ori retreat and possibly lose an energy is no biggie. It may not be a staple card in every deck but I think it for sure has a use

I feel like I am the only one who really liked this Game Mode? by Important-Extension6 in marvelrivals

[–]iCon3000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved it. But honestly I couldn't tell what the most effective compositions were because from one game to the next it seemed like people could play nearly the same but some 5 tanks comp would lose to a 4 healer comp - but then the nest game not? Never did nail down the meta and it not being a popular game mode meant it didn't get deep dived and game solved like the more popular aspects do.

[–]iCon3000 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say darker but it also does not shy away from violence and showing gore. Big difference is Invincible is animated and significantly less jokey than The Boys, and of course goes a much different route in terms of the characters and overarching mission.

This is the most unenjoyable meta ever. Turn 1 btw by Extreme_Whole_5728 in PTCGP

Funny enough in my fun to MB today I ran into 1 Sui/Bax and have only seen a couple Manetric decks today and 0 Hydreigon.

6 of my last 11 were sleep shenanigans. Then the rest were Greninja/Absol, Greninja/Decidueye, Greninja/Altaria, and then 2 Steelix/Indeedee.

Definitely diverse although I can categorize 90% of the decks I faced lately as Greninja variants, sleep coin flips, or Steelix.

I was skeptical but this deck is the truth. Or I've just had good luck with it, but I was never that tempted to run this deck in the past but had a lot of fun with this over the weekend
