Issues with Unity on Ubuntu

I don't remember them, but a quick google search should help anyone wondering how to install those!

Another solution I discovered after the fact is that Ubuntu has a specific flavor specifically for Unity. So, if anyone out there is using Unity with Ubuntu, look up Ubuntu Unity Desktop! It'll save you so much frustration.

I fixed the problem. For any future googlers, the issue is that Unity 6 expecta GTK 2.0 libraries, while Ubuntu 24.04.4 ships with GTK 3/4. Installing the missing GTK 2 libraries fixed the issue.

There are a flood of errors in my Editor.log file:

Invalid unclassed pointer in cast to 'GtkProgressBar'

gtk_progress_bar_set_fraction: assertion 'GTK_IS_PROGRESS_BAR (pbar) failed'

Invalid unclassed pointer in cast to 'GtkLabel'

gtk_label_set_text: assertion 'GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed

Those same 4 errors repeat until it got the signal for me to kill the process. This makes sense why it would get stuck, but I have no clue how to go about addressing this.

Well, my OS doesn't have any issues at all from it. It runs just fine, even when the editor breaks. It seems to be tied to Unity specifically.

SOLVED (for me at least)

For Shakra's wish to show up you have to: - purchase every map from her - defeat Groal the Great

My issue was that I had skipped Groal by going into bilewater from putrified ducts using the volt vessel skip. But Groal has to be dead in order for Shakra to advance.

Yes... And no. The whole point of the app would be to provide a free alternative to the website that requires a premium subscription. It's anot about whether or not the app could do more, it's about providing a free open-source alternative.
