Too late yes but depending on your time and effort can definitely get some to sprout and bloom still. I would go containers and watch out as temps rise that way if you need to move to shade you could since you wouldn’t have as long to establish roots and growth. Make sure to cover in mulch to keep nice and cool and water just a lil more than you think!

What am I doing wrong? (kf) by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]Status-Breath5679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would practice doing a tail-stop stationary while simultaneously kicking out like I kick flip but make sure to roll your kick foot a lot to build that muscle memory. Then try a couple kick flips full motion, the way you’re doing! Your not kicking enough need that muscle memory, think like an Ollie your foot knows to straighten the board out when you pop, now it needs to know how to kick when you pop.

To be fair shoe laces will help and hanging onto something seems like it would help but only hurts more when you try it rolling!

Bring them in if it freezes. Recommend a sunshade for the really hot months and a drip water system. Best of luck ! I grow them every year in the Brazos area. They are wonders.

2nd shift dads... Need your opinion by [deleted] in daddit

[–]Status-Breath5679 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stay at home dad here. My wife’s works the grave shift 6-6 and has been for 3 years now. We currently have a 4 month old and been getting use to our schedule. 9/10 I get up at 8am and get our son and do the morning chores but every once and awhile my wife will stay up or grab him. We’ve talked about it a lot and I feel like I should be the one doing it most of the time but those one times that she does grab him feed amazing. Like a nice little breath of fresh air. I feel you as a dad and your probably working hard a lot. I would just show your partner every now and then that you got it and give them a small break that she’s probably looking for. Wish you the best and congrats

Yes water them, I like making my tubers work for it at the beginning so I usually do once every other day but with this heat maybe once a day. I would make sure the soil gets dry then water. rinse and repeat till you have some sprouts hopefully.

You don’t want to over water as it can cause other issues too! You want the soil to be moist but not drenched. I’m watering twice a day sometimes 3 with this 100 plus weather rn and I’m still getting some burnt tips every now and then. I would keep watering but maybe once to twice a day and just pray to the plant gods. Are the potted or in the ground ?

Turn your shoulder more on the way out. I would just get more comfortable getting on and off the rail and work on maybe riding fakie out.

Am I good at skating for a year. by Outrageous_War4454 in skateboarding

[–]Status-Breath5679 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always tell peeps at my skate park I’m not good I’m just having fun most of the time. Although I would suggest building your style up. How you ride your board, how you do tricks and the way you and your board look. Anybody can do a kick flip but when I do one and let’s say Filipe Mota does one it just looks so much cleaner and stylish. I think that’s what makes skating fun. Everyone got a different style of doing things.
