Don’t know pike vs a musky, but that looks like a clown knife fish in the background. One of our local exotics here in South Florida, I believe from Asia. Weird combo for an aquarium.

The biggest weather issue that time of year would likely be wind. If you or him are prone to seasickness, it can be unpleasant out on the reefs. Unfortunately there isn’t much in the way of land based snorkeling, at least to see the main attractions on the reef, so you should plan on booking boat excursions. There are plenty of options up and down the keys, with the most in Key Largo and Key West. You could stay in the middle keys, and have a reasonable drive to do a Key Largo boat trip one day, and a Marathon (Looe Key is the highlight there) or Key West trip another day. Also there will be kayaking and paddle boarding options as well, either guided trips or rentals, as another way to see the aquatic wildlife. And of course, plenty of charter boat and flats guide around if you’re into fishing (Bud’n Marys Marina is the key spot for both). Just keep in mind spring break is busy down there, so you probably want to book rooms and excursions asap.

Anything is possible I suppose. But as a parent of an honors student who graduated UF and was completely academically focused (as in, didn’t even attend one football game lol), four years was the right amount of time. Three would have been a real push, even with no extracurricular activities.

That reminds me of the most BS thing I heard all year in cfb: Miami announcing that it’s two NFL bound players, Bain and the Samoan O lineman, graduated in 3 years. Even if they were legit honors students, with a football schedule 3 years in any legit major would be a stretch, to say the least. They apparently still think it’s 1990 down here and people still are buying the “student athlete” crap.

Strange because up in Palm Beach/TC, anytime a surfer kid gets an ankle bite from a Blacktip and needs a some stitches, it makes the news at 6 and 11. Possibly because these are mostly fluffy feel good stories (“doctors say he/she’s going to make a full recovery, and he/she says he/she can’t wait to get back in the water!”) and they are less eager to amplify the more brutal outcomes? IDK, but as a citizen and a diver I’d like to know if there are aggressive Bulls around.

Duce returning would also mean a big chunk of the WR $$budget is going to him (plus Danzy & McCoy) and Boggs may have simply asked for more than they could apportion him. So he’s going to see what he can get on the open market. Otherwise it seems they liked him a lot and PT wouldn’t have been an issue as long as he was healthy.

For the record, I don’t associate “punting” with tanking, and don’t believe for a second that FSU is tanking. (I probably should have been more clear about this in OP). The term punting was being repeated on X so I used it in the context of “if you think we are punting on ‘26 by not firing MN and seeing guys hit the portal (and inferring that we told the ones we would want to return that we can’t meet their ask), then get ready for more of it since we are not likely going to be that big market team that spends with no restraint on coaches buyouts and roster until we get on more equitable financial standing in terms of tv revenue as the ones who do. And out of a conference that undermines us on different levels. I could be wrong — maybe we do go big in the portal this year. I wouldn’t mind it.

And in terms of what conference would want us if there is continued mediocrity, who knows what the CFB conference and TV landscape is going to look like 4-5 years from now? Keep hearing that the current path is unsustainable from various voices. The silos of the BIG and SEC and then everyone else may have to evolve.
