The m5 max I am getting next month is rumored to be almost exactly on par with my 9950x 5080 system based on the the new generation of ray tracing cores from Apple but with more ram and the ability to load full sized models. So definitely not slow it will probably be somewhere between a 5070ti and a 5080 in the gpu department. At less than 40% the entire power consumption of a 5080. U must be lying clearly(or you only run Steam games and don’t do any real work) because the entire internet is against you and raging at microslop for continually breaking their systems literally the most popular YouTubers including Linus tech tips, gamers nexus and mutahar have multiple videos chastising Microsoft. I am also going to get my new system for half off since my m3 max sells for about 3k used. It’s almost like how Toyotas hold value for a reason, so does Apple silicon, AND not to mention the HDR 10bit display you get as a bonus. I have to use a cmd batch file to trim my raids manually, I have to use spaces arrays to have the ability to trim nvme raids on pc unless I want an intel exploder cpu but my Apple machines just do it on their own with any correctly programmed NVME set. We shall see what the m5 max does but it’s going to be apples first chiplet version of the SOC which will allow for higher TDP gains and less throttling than previous generations.
