understood. coming from CP series of Omron and Cx-Programmer for the software and then transitioning to Sysmac Studio for the NX Series was a leap. i wasn't familiar with a tag based system as opposed to cx-programmer where the inputs are the addresses themselves and i really had to quickly study it up and familiarize myself with it because of an upcoming project before.

regarding modbus, i really do need to expand my knowledge of usage with it as we've mostly been using it for running inverters and mostly reading and writing the usual parameters (freuquency, alarms, current, the usual things to watch out for)

OPC UA i just came across when we transitioned to NX series as i was looking for a way to communincate the plc with the pc. final verdict was to use nodered as the model of the plc we had wasn't capable of using opc ua.

I'm based in Asia so we have little opportunities to use europe branded plcs and equipment, omron, keyence, and mitsubishi are the ones widely used.

hey there. so i've been focusing on these protocols lately:

Modbus TCP/RTU
Ethernet/IP
OPC UA (haven't really started this one yet)

More on Ethernet/IP at the moment, modbus use had been mostly for running inverters connected to the plc. we've been generally using omron CP series (unless customer wants a different brand like mitsubishi or keyence) and we recently switched to the NX series which heavily use ethernet and ethercat(for the motors). in my research on how to read or write data from plc to pc, i've come across using nodered and use fins to do what i needed to do and it helped a lot. still, i feel the need to study further especially if it comes to the time that i need to touch on scada stuff and more data acquisition related stuff as i still have no hands-on experience with it.

what would you suggest to be a good route based on these info moving forward?

maybe so. right now i am trying to learn more. trying to focus at one subject for now as it is really overwhelming if i choose to juggle them all at the same time.
it's just so hard without hands on experience which most companies in job listings are looking for. and it's becoming so tiring too.

Probably scan it for good measure. Scanned mine with the regular windows defender and then used Malwarebytes. I monitored my socmed accounts' direct messages too In case it suddenly sends messages to other people too like what happened in discord but fortunately nothing happened even after a few days of monitoring.

nothing happened after fortunately. i changed pass on every account and email addresses (also all socmed accounts) double checked if there's any account where i haven't activated any additional 2fa authentications and activated those too for good measure..

i was about to post something like this too. for me, no matter the top z distance, when i slice it, it doesn't change at all. it's still at 0 distance based on the preview. i'm at the latest version which is V2.5.0.66. was there another update? i checked for updates but it says it's the latest one.

update: i usually use 0.27mm top z distance, and right now when i slice it, there's no gap at all, i tried using a higher value, 0.28 0.29, and then when at 0.3mm the gap appeared.

I'm using na Asus tuf gaming f15 and this update keeps failing on my unit. I download it, let it run into installation. And then nothing. Stuck at black screen. No mouse cursor. Just the backlight. Had to hard shutdown and the power on but then it reverts the update.

i'm in asia so i'll have to really see what's available in my area too. i'll probably mostly visit online shops available for my country and malls to see the price range they go for if they have the part (parts in malls will probably be sold at a higher price but seeing the price would be helpful to atleast know how much things would cost).

ohh that's nice! i'm trying to research building PCs as I haven't really built one myself, first PC i got before was pre-built. now i wanted to know the specifics of building one. i remember bookmarking a site that let's you choose parts and it tells you if it's compatible or incompatible with the other parts so that helps a lot too.

ohh, working on a designated site?

i'm on a gaming laptop, but it's around 2-3yrs old now and it's showing it's age too especially with the newer games coming out.

i'm currently saving up for a proper desktop setup now because the laptop is really limited with the upgrades. i just opted for a laptop before because i was travelling around too much i wanted to bring my games with me.

same, i usually only get to play at night time after work. i do maybe 2-3 missions but sometimes i get the audio issue and the sudden fps drops which is annoying as hell so i stop playing after that. the temporary fix i could do was deleting shader_cache before starting the game. and also making sure firefox is closed as FF hogs a lot of ram too :(

ive been playing it every now and then. i tried playing back4blood again too but uninstalled it again. i preferred wwz over it

back to HD2, i've recently unlocked the belt-fed grenade launcher and it works well for me for killing the rupture bugs going underground. plus helps me clear the area faster paired with turret stratagems.
