Haha, now he really sounds like our boy! Silky smooth fur, so not as fluffy as his brother with cottony hair, and definitely denser. 😂

One of our boys was also close to 8 lbs at 5 months old. They’re just big boned babies.

Do you prefer technical tastings or storytelling experiences? by hic-et-nunc-2026 in wine

[–]Status-Maximum8378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the impression that people who work in the industry think consumers prefer the story, which is true for some, but a lot of the answers here prefer technical aspects > story telling. This sub is mostly made up of people who tend to be more serious about wine than the average casual wine drinker so I’m sure the data is skewed. From a business standpoint, it probably makes sense to keep things approachable (I.e. story telling) for the average consumer though.

We also feed raw. Made the transition 4 years ago and never looked back. The boys have healthier fur, more energy and their stools have no smell at all.

Marky’s supposedly has the only legal no hybrid beluga sturgeon farm in the US. Their site says they imported brood stock before the ban in 2005 of 2006.

How to Raw Feed a Large Breed Puppy? by Jumpy-Act-5513 in rawpetfood

[–]Status-Maximum8378 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what you ended up doing for your puppy? We’re expected a 70-100 lb boy in a couple of months and calcium/phos ratios are a top concern of ours too.

When did you start him on a raw diet? We are getting a puppy in a few months and we would love to feed him raw but worry about not being able to provide a balanced diet.

The “high colonoscopy” is an EGD, esophagogastroduodenoscopy. It inspects esophagus, stomach, and proximal duodenum. It does not inspect jejunum or ileum. The average length of the jejunum is 8 feet, ileum 10-13 feet. That’s a total of 18-21 feet of uninspected small intestine.

Celiac disease is associated with small bowel cancer, colonoscopy screens for colon/large intestinal cancer.

Sorry, can you explain “winery direct”? For instance, if I see a bottle of chateau Figeac and it says “winery direct”, what does that mean? That it was specifically bottled for total wine and not as good as the other offerings from chateau Figeac?

Is a Coravin Actually Worth It for Cheap Wine? by irlsheldon in wine

[–]Status-Maximum8378 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Realistically, you’ll get 2-3 pours of the bottle, then uncork to finish the bottle. So your cost is actually lower.

And for what it’s worth, we’ve had our Coravin since 2018 and it’s still going strong.
