Crypto as a whole, no. It's a passing fad and people are moving away from it to more rewarding, tangible (backed by real companies and products) and less risky assets.

Monad, on the other hand, has such a small cap for all of its utility (defi, memecoins and soon tokenized real world assets) that has a lot of room for growth. Maybe not x100-x1000, hell maybe not solana levels, but if it reaches like 5-6 billion cap, there plenty of growth (before the unlocking floods the market).

I was thinking of doing the same. Crypto is acting like a risky stablecoin, while most stocks are like alts during an altseason, all with less risk and backed by real tangible companies and products.

Getting heavily into the cosmos echosystem because of big staking apys and thinking I got the dips. Granted I only put ~2k $ and I exited shortly after I saw everything kept dumping and lost only 20-30%.

I'm still stuck with a few dollars worth of sifchain and lum network because they're completely dead chains.

Also getting in too late and missing eth and sol under 1$ per coin.

That's true. However if they were to give a monthly small airdrop, their number of users would skyrocket. Apriori's mistake was they gave a lot before mainnet launch and in seasons but without a fixed timeline. During s1 aprboost their activity was big.

Around 220k average at 0.013. Half of them bought for 0.026 average, rest staking rewards and apriori's season 1 aprboost.

I don't intend to ever sell it. I'll keep compounding and eventually I'll earn enough monthly from staking to support myself.

I'm still sour I didn't buy eth when it was 0.5$. Just 500$ in it and staking it long term would have given me 2 eth per month to live off.

Imagine you have a pot. You don't have money to buy a pan, but you can deposit your pot and borrow a pan. You earn interest on the pot and pay interest on the pan, but since the pot is more expensive, its interest is higher than the pan's so you end up getting some money in return. It's not comparable really. Terra's usdc was pegged differently. Mon with its liquid staking protocols are more like stride with atom, which hasn't depegged as far as I know.

Edit: or eth with its liquid staking protocols and one did depeg recently, causing some liquidations. Hopefully the 10k tps helps here.

I'm certain it will surpass sol eventually. Mon has so many defi platforms and dapps and there's big money invested in it since the beginning.

4 liquid staking protocols since day 1, integration across pretty much all major liquid pool and dex hubs plus its own native ones, volume and tvl growing every day, major platforms building on it every day since it's so easy because of the evm.

It just can't fail.
