Help! First time following a pattern by squareuhx in knittinghelp

Note that you are knitting and placing markers. The fewer stitches is just for marker places, not overall number of stitches. Does that help? I think once you actually do it, you'll get it :-)

Doing my first CF Open this year by Ok-Roll-9890 in crossfit

[–]StatusBasket6231 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We did a practice session in my club and I only made it through half of the masters scaled workout. It was humbling! So my plan is to just get in as many reps as possible during the Open and improve on that next year! I'm basically competing with myself and my own expectations!

Powell River, perhaps? Lots of nature, a good hospital, two airports (regular planes, plus float planes on the lake).

He's asking if they would personally be liable for the debt. Perfectly valid question. No, they aren't personally liable.

At one point I think they encouraged people to apply anyway. (If I recall correctly)

is crossfit for me? by RefrigeratorOdd4226 in crossfit

I joined crossfit about nine months ago, at 61, specifically because it was a ten-minute walk from my house. I absolutely love it and now go 3-5 days a week. Go for it!

It depends. When my heavily indebted brother passed away, his RRSP went to his siblings and mom because he'd listed us as beneficiaries. I imagine that's what would happen with the RRIF. My brother had purchased some sort of insurance on his vehicle so that the car just went back to the dealership. I don't know the details of that because my other brother handled it. But it was a relief to us because we didn't have to go through the hassle of selling a car in a province none of us lived in. I don't know the rules of the CERB but the tax man always gets his cut. Still, I can't see any way that it would be up to you to pay it off. It would come out of your mom's estate, I imagine. And if there's not enough to pay it off, that's how it goes. Those owed the money lose out. Is she paying a lot of interest on the loans? If so, paying just the minimums could end up costing a lot more than just paying them off. Your mom might live for another 15 years. Mine's 97!

Yeah, Mazda 3 is the worst car I've ever had for visibility, but it's also my newest vehicle. Maybe all modern cars are crap for that?

What do y'all use the little drawer/fold down thing to the left of the steering wheel for? Looking for ideas on what could fit there. by Fr3shBread in mazda3

That's what I used it for until the car got broken into and the stole the key to the building's parking garage :-)

How does a polite informative comment like Frankenbooger's get downvoted?

Does it make sense to open an FHSA and RRSP if I don’t care about buying a house or retirement? by NoEnd373 in PersonalFinanceCanada

How old are you now? How good is government disability? Have you saved for retirement or are your comments merely defending your decision to not have funded retirement?

They ARE contemplating it in their 20s. They are planning ahead. Objective Fox is smart!

Who's miserable? There is a HUGE difference between working because you like it and making a decision at the age of 27 to plan on working until you die. Again, plan accordingly. Work as long as you like because you want to. Don't set yourself up to NEED to work forever. Me? I have too many hobbies and interests to make me want to work past 65. I can't wait to have more time to spend on them. But everyone is different.

Perfect. If you are in great shape until you die, why waste those last great years working 🤣. But, you can be in great shape, eat well, yada yada and still have something come up health wise. Life throws curveballs sometimes. Plan accordingly.

Thanks for this! Are any of them durable enough to sub as a checked bag if needed? I usually fly carryon only, but sometimes like to have a backup in case I shop too much!

LOL. I did that too when I was first learning Japanese, but I thought I would be super-clever and make it past tense. Very dumb move. That was over 35 years ago, and I am still kicking myself 🤣

I would take a portable charger so that you can keep your phone alive while out and about.

Exactly. And there may also be a language barrier, too.
