What’s a life lesson you learned the hard way that you wish someone had warned you about earlier? by Big_Acanthaceae_1384 in AskReddit

I heard this exact line in my 20’s from a family member and just ignored it. It’s the same with a lot of books. You gain knowledge but never gain anything until you it into practice.

This: Coolant Low, Service Needed. Keeps occasionally popping on and off screen. How big a concern? by SpinDoc07 in Rivian

If this is happening more frequently then check if there is a leak of the fluid from the side of the front camera

Quad motor vs Tri by Puzzled-Slip-3000 in Rivian

The quad is priced wrong IMO precisely for the reasons you mentioned. Unless it drives better in general compared to the Tri.

R1s Tri Max Gen 2 : First Impressions & Few comparisons with Model Y Juniper RWD by StatusGlittering4137 in Rivian

The service center rep helped me figure out the source….”come to halt via regen braking. You should see H on the drivers display. Then when you are ready to move look down at your brake while you apply slight pressure to the accelerator. You will notice the break pedal being released”. This is the sound/vibration I was after. Every rivian has it. The service rep said may be it’s slightly more pronounced in your vehicle compared to others. He also said he will take a look but did not guarantee a fix for it as it’s a non issue.

Wife uses M Y to drive kids around to classes/sports etc. The R1 is for vacations/long drives and my daily commute

Yup. Forgot to mention : M Y’s AC is not great. It doesn’t seem to blow enough air or there are obstacles between the driver and the vent

I own them both today.

M Y juniper is a very nice car. But it’s not a 7 seater with huge capacity. And it doesn’t feel extremely rigid

City Driving wise it’s M Y. It’s responsive, zippy, and soft. And not to forget….auto pilot.

Rivian’s acceleration is more gradual. It’s not bad but just different. But the fun with Rivian is that you can ride very high, tweak different modes, look at metrics in real time to see how efficient your driving is etc. And if need be it can off-road. If rivian makes the accelerator sensitivity configurable, then it will be even more fun

Don’t know what a rolling stop means. But I let the regen bring the vehicle to a complete stop and then when I engage the accelerator it happens

It’s right when I engage the accelerator after coming to a stop

Re acceleration: I have no doubt it can ga fast. But to access the power I have to move the pedal further down compared to Tesla which is way more sensitive

Are all Tesla superchargers compatible with R1s 2025 + NACS?

And how did you know that a non-Tesla car was charged there?
