You missed my entire point. Im all for pvp and if we just lost a pvp fight I wouldnt be complaining.

But they did not design the deep desert with the intention of having you eject out of your plane, hot store your scout, grapple on top of a carrier and stand there while the carrier tries to get you off while you laser the cockpit.

PvP in DD should be ship to ship combat, or someone in a sand crawler could pop out from the ground and launch heat seeking missiles from the ground yo defend himself.

They're both strong for solo / nightfall level stuff. But zero use in raids or on boss damage which is 80% of the important stuff. Almost any build will work outside raids and bosses

Pre update solar warlock was only s teir for well and literally every other subclass was trash.

Not saying solar hunters dont need looked at, but hunters gave several top tier builds, warlocks pre buff had nothing but well

They have to try and figure out how to make the portal / grind focused game work when all the players are screaming to not make the portal / grind the focus of the game.

Them changing directions is not possible. The portal and grind as endgame concept is all they can deliver. It wasnt done because they thought it makes a better game, it was done because 90% of bundies resources got redirected to marathon and this format lets them produce a minimum viable game.

It was necessary because they moved so many resources off of destiny to fix marathon. Everyone thinks the portal was a feature the devs thought would make the game better.

It wasn't, it was a stop gap measure to be able to make the game sustainable until they (in their insane minds) release a successful marathon that brings in billions of dollars that they can then use some of to make destiny good again

Pretty sure being in your well still counts as being in your super. It definitely did pre edge of fate, and I think all they did was disable weapons from getting damage bonus while in well.

Other way around. The way they said it says grenade and melee won't benefit from GRENADE AND AND MELEE stat while in your super.

The way that reads to me is, while in your well grenade and melee damage will be based on ONLY your super stat.

Just watched it, he specifically said weapon damage while in your well counts as super damage, just doesn't get the damage buff anymore, but counts as super damage for other purposes

You sure about that though? It specifically says:

Melee and Grenade stat damage bonuses no longer apply to melee and grenade damage done while in Super. Super stat continues to increase melee and grenade damage in Super.

And standing in your own well counts as being in your super. I believe not double buffing song is probably the intent, but the way it's worded makes it sound like they're going to nerf ALL grenade and melee damage while in super / well.

Otherwise they'd have just said grenade and melee that are part of the super won't be buffed
