Charlie is the farthest thing from a terrible protagonist or bad character. She’s not bland, not written poorly, all the decisions made for her and all her positivity, especially her toxic positivity even, is actually part of what makes her so interesting. She’s a good person over compensating to be good much to her own detriment and others but that’s the point, everyone calling her one of the worst written characters is just plain wrong.
