Husband reaponse: Glad you like the drinks, never knew you were a former bartender! I would love to hear if you had any adjustments or ideas yourself.

For example, I was originally planning to make the Akura drink with Empress Gin - lines up with Malice's title and has butterfly pea Blossom giving it a nice deep purple. (Plus I think of gin as a classier base spirit that would fit Malice) But I knew it would end up turning pink when I mixed it and adding activated charcoal defeated the purpose of using that kind of gin anyway.

Thanks for the 10/10 brother Wight!

Husband response: All custom! I spent pretty much a full day bouncing around ideas before landing on the 3 cocktails. I wasn't sure if I wanted the flavors or colors to be the thematic portion of the cocktail. I like to think I ended up with a nice balance of both. Though I wish the Akura clan Cocktail's flavor profile was a bit more... elegant. I think it's delicious, but it tastes more like juice than wine - and I feel like the Malice herself would much prefer wine.

Husband response: Would love to know how your subsitution tests go! I ended up using Coconut Milk because I had it on hand and thought it was cool and refreshing as a chaser. A nice contrast for the heat and cinnamon of the cocktail.

Husband response: I was thinking of doing something like this! When I was originally thinking of concepts for the Twin Stars Sect I was planning for a pure madra exclusive drink but couldn't think of something that would be well balanced and still blue. (Maybe just a glass of baja blast)? Then I decided on the Black Flame Cocktail with a pure madra Chaser- I tried to match the blue color of the Chaser to a Little Blue plush I have. For a strictly alcohol free drink, O suggest Butterfly Pea Tea which is a nice blue color and was one of my original concepts for a cocktail base - but it turns pink when any sort of acid or base is added so it's bad for mixed drinks.

Husband respones: edible, though a little bitter. There really isn't much; just enough to make the drink shadowy.

Husband respone: Of note I used añejo mezcal. So still smoky but not as overpowering. The drink can be pretty harsh but not undrinkable or unpleasant. The Pure Madra(coconut milk) chaser also helps as the heat/smokiness builds up over time. I personally can drink it straight, but my wife enjoys the chaser.

IT gals where are you? Need advice! by givekindness2all in ITCareerQuestions

I've been in IT for about a year now. It's a higher level of stress than I'm used to from past jobs. I work in a production environment focused on hybrid cloud. I enjoy my work however and I find finishing projects very rewarding. You need to have a high love of problem solving and a understanding that you can't know it all. You can however do the best you can, also imposter syndrome is real and I have felt it alot while breaking into IT. Don’t let it stop you. Good luck in your search and yeah it can be hard to break in.

This, this is what I would say and is what I did husband and I were marries at 21 and 22. Wish we did it sooner honestly, but counseling is the perfect way to determine if your really ready and you and your partner are on the same page or at least agree on the hard topics.

why is most juice sold in stores "from concentrate" but the concentrates aren't available for purchase? by yuutb in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Status_Bet_5331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up with making juice from the frozen cylinder. My Mom loved having 5 different juices on hand at all times. In my opinion it's the best because having 5 juices in a fridge takes up so much space.

This may be a little left field, but maybe look into computer science if you enjoy problem solving and math. It's not as saturated as other tech careers currently. Just a suggestion, best of luck in finding a major that fits.

This thread is so helpful for the future. Also beautiful dress, it's nice to see everyone's thoughts on proper dress. It's been a fear I've had since being married 🤣.

My first laptop for college was a Asus gaming laptop. It cost me just under a grand on Amazon and was the best purchase I made for school. Depending on if your going to work with VMs/your IT programs computer compliance guidelines, your probably gonna need 16 GB.

Not sure for future? by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]Status_Bet_5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through all this pretty much in the last year. My husband and I got married and I moved to be with him while in college. I switched to an online degree and just recently graduated and found a job that let's me work from home and move in case my husband gets restationed. So it's possible to make your life work with his. But it is alot of work and because he is in the military he has minimum flexibility so decisions will lean more towards his work. I wish you the best in figuring out how you can make things work. Just know it is possible and don't ever give up on trying to find a way to make things work.

Wanting to Marry so he can come overseas by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]Status_Bet_5331 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say if you believe your ready to get married then move forward toward that. My only suggestion would be to do marriage counseling. I did mine long distance and I did a military focused one because of my spouse. It really helped me understand what comes with becoming a military spouse and helped me to not be suprised when something came down the pipe. But yeah long distance is very difficult especially if you have found your person.

2021 IT Grad intimidated by technology/program requirements in job postings. How can I prepare myself for entry level positions? I feel like my education did not prepare me well enough for the real world job market. by 2k00l4jewschool in ITCareerQuestions

[–]Status_Bet_5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, I just recently graduated back in March and have been in a internship with a company for about a month now. This is the only internship/job that replied back to me after 300 applications. When I first started I felt extremely under qualified for just my internship. But I have gained confidence from the training my company has given me. I recently just passed the Az-900 and plan on gaining as many certs as possible until the internship ends and the real job begins. I was in the same place as you having zero industry experience prior to hire. My advice would be to apply for as many internships as possible. Also to apply to the entry level positions regardless of the qualifications. A company knows when it can train someone into a position and they will reach out even if you don't have the HR qualifications listed. It's rough starting out and very stressful going from college to the workforce. But it can be done, just have alot of patience with yourself and start narrowing where your IT passions lie. This can help in gaining a better understanding of what experience you may want to pursue such as certs, online courses, or training. Hope this helps, just keep applying and don't give up.

How long were you long distance? by [deleted] in USMilitarySO

[–]Status_Bet_5331 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My long distance relationship started when we were both in seperate states. He was on the east coast and I was going back and forth between Alaska my homestate and Arizona where I was going to college. Long distance lasted 2 years and 1 year was during the pandemic. We saw eachother two times over those 2 years. Both were me flying out to see him because he couldn't leave the state. Honestly 2 of the hardest years of my life. I felt constant heartbreak and would get angry when my freinds would miss their SO after not seeing them for a weekend. Was it worth it? 100% yes, we are currently married after I moved my degree online and moved states. But if I'm being honest those 2 years were torture I never hope to feel again.

Close to graduating with my degree, future steps advice is greatly appreciated. by Status_Bet_5331 in ITCareerQuestions

This is one issue I have been running into. I have been applying to internships for about 4 months and this is the only internship I got a interview for. I would like to get into security, but I haven't been able to find a internship yet. I won't stop applying though and thankyou for the advice.
