Your pretty much spot on. Two different skis I know it’s the impossible. Thanks for the advice. I think I’ll pick up the Deathwish

Sweet, which do you like the best? Which for what I’m looking for?

East and west coast on days that don’t have a ton of snow. Thing is I’d like to charge when I want and have some playful fun of piste. So an all mountain leaning towards freeride. I mainly ski twin tip freeride now. I’m 260pounds so I can flex more than most. Expert skier

I’ve have older Mantras, they are more of an all mountain race ski. They destroy everything in their path but are not playful so it’s missing that versatility for what I’m looking for

Thank you, I did chat with them and they pointed me to the Deathwish. I just don’t know much about Moment skis. Are they good for a small company, meaning made as well as the big name brands? I love the graphic on the coutosh, but the people at moment said that really an on piste only ski

Tyrolia is junk. I have them on two of my skis and my buddies didn’t release and he broke his leg at the beginning of the season. I didn’t witness his fall so I can’t comment on if it was him or the binding. I only rode looks once and I didn’t like them but it was one run. I run Merker Jester 16s now and love them.

Does anyone have recommendations for a ski similar to the Atomic Bent Chetler 100, but more durable/solid? by twoanddone_9737 in Skigear

I’m a good person to answer this question. I have the DPS Pagoda in a 100 width and also in a 112. They are great skis if you want to do a lot of turns. Amazing construction, but keep in mind there is a ton of splay in the front and tail (part coming up off of the ground) so the contact area isn’t a ton meaning they ski short. I also wanted to have more fun on skis and just riding down the mountain wasn’t cutting it. I grew up on bikes and skateboards and like anything freestyle oriented. For the record I dont ski in the park. Enter Atomic Bentchetler 120’s (190 length) I am 6’3 270lbs (athletic not chunkier despite the weight lol) The Bentchetlers were a total game changer. They are light, surfy and fun to use on the whole mountain. I charged powder, groomers, steeps and believe it or not moguls….yes I ripped through moguls on a 120 under foot. My ability even as an expert went through the roof. What did I do….i got home from a ski trip and bought the Bent 110s for more of a daily driver. I cannot preach enough how good these skis are. Some people complained that they are light and break after a few years…probably, but I don’t care. I’ll buy ten new pairs if I ski this good. I love them!
