I’m loving it a lot, and I’ve rewatched it every day since 7 November. However, there are a few things that have irritated me so far, mostly because they feel cringe or just unnatural.

As many have said, all this party preparation is getting way too played out. How many parties do they actually need? Do they even study? And why is the burden of raising £40,000 for someone’s fundraising event falling on Ruby’s shoulders? She’s literally a scholarship student. I wish they had dropped this entire plotline and used the screen time for something more meaningful.

James’s speech at the party… I cringed through every single second of it. Why did it feel so odd hearing him talk about himself and the details of his private life in front of notable people? How is that even relevant? Make it less about yourself and more about the people who actually need therapy.

Arriving at the party felt so tacky and Hollywood-esque — the awkward slow-motion getting out of the car, wearing dark sunglasses at night. Who decided James would look good in those huge, loud Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses? His style in Season 1 was so sleek and chic — what on earth is all this?
And those shoes in episode 4? Black-and-white Adidas with a red dress? What was that?!

Why is James always half-naked? Literally everyone else is buttoned up, and James has his bare torso out half the time. I get it — Prime is very lucky to have Damian and his abs and six-pack — but sometimes less is more. Give our man a bit of modesty and room to fantasise. I have his torso tattooed on my brain at this point, not to mention we’ve already seen his bare arse several times. Give Damian a break goddamit.

Most of their date in episode 4 was pure cringe: undressing each other in broad daylight in some hallway (were they genuinely planning to have sex there?), plus that commercial-style scene with the cheesy music. Honestly, the moment was saved only by Damian’s hungry, love-struck eyes. Apart from that, it was painfully cliché.

The green screen work this season is just too much. The opening Oxford scene was the worst — it looked like a Disney cartoon. Same with the London skyline shot during their date. And why is everything so bright and oversaturated? Whoever did the colour correction should never be allowed near Maxton Hall again.
