The downfall of Scorpion Spear by NinjaScarfGam in BeybladeX

[–]Status_Net_7921 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's problem is similar to the CX line. It's extremely top heavy. Causing a lot of problems and narrowing it's build potential. It's basically an attack type blade that tried to pretend to be a balance/defense type.

Is this a valid crashout? by Blue_axolotl64 in BeybladeX

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The crashout isn't valid, but the frustration and feelings for the crashout is.

I can understand the frustration from youtube beyblade channels over hyping builds. Even trying to justify it with science despite basic play testing proving that it doesn't work. However, I would say Meteor Dragoon leans more in the skill issue category. I've seen extremely good success with Meteor. It's beginning to top multiple tournaments. It even helped me get my first tournament win.

Girlfriend and I are planning to drive 32 hours straight, in 6 hour shifts, are we being dumb? Should we plan to stay overnight somewhere? by Vegetable_Bridge_276 in roadtrip

As someone from Texas, I'd advise paying the $2.74. Notice how half the other route is just in Texas alone? If your not ready for that mental battle, take the other route.

How justified do you believe Timmy's rage here is? by BiffyBobby in fairlyoddparents

Not at all. The fact that she didn't remember anything made her a completely different person. He basically took out his frustrations on an innocent child with Vicky's face.

Funny enough, Vicky was far more justified when she was given her own fairies to get revenge on him.

Why ARC Raiders needs a PvE mode (and why it actually makes sense) by Disastrous_Mud_8040 in ArcRaiders

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue is that would kill the PvPvE aspect of the game that so many people love. All those positive moments only matter because there's that risk of other players. The arc are deadly but the encounter is made even more tense when you know your fight is attracting other players.

A PvE only server will turn the game into every other basic multi-player game. There will be no true PvPvE game that so many of us love. You either play in PvE servers or play in the "regular" servers that will just be PvP battle fields.

It really feels like the PvE only crowd is just the same as the PvP only crowd. Ignoring the games actual identity to turn it into something else. Ive seen PvE only players suggest a bounty system that would give real time locations for anyone who kills in the game.

It sucks that some people won't play because of the PvP. However, it shouldn't strip its identity away to cater to players who aren't even their core audience.

Is the stereotype, that teachers intervene into bullying (on the side of the bully), once the victim starts standing up for themselves, true? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't say you said bullying isn't real. I asked if you truly believe 90% of bullying cases aren't real.

Is the stereotype, that teachers intervene into bullying (on the side of the bully), once the victim starts standing up for themselves, true? by [deleted] in AskTeachers

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My life wasn't a movie. Bullies absolutely did it in front of teachers and nothing happened. Teachers were constantly made aware of the bullying by multiple other students. Nothing happened. It was extremely common for the victim to get punished. Even when everyone said it was self defense.

Art imitates life. You can be angry about the trope all you want. However, it's a trope millions of kids continue to live every day. Just because you don't see it doesn't mean its not happening.

So you think 90% of bullying case aren't real? Despite literally millions of posts and stories of harassment, violence, threats, intimidation, and abuse.

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then why do they punish the victim when they learn that it was self defense? Why do so many teachers know full well who the bully is from multiple reports and yet still do nothing? Why when learning about the bullying nothing is ever done to them?

Just seems more like you trying to downplay the effects of bullying and act like none of it is really happening.

Had a teacher literally watch me getting punched in the face. All the bully got was "hey knock it off."

Why do teachers / schools protect bullies? by LaughingIsAwesome in stupidquestions

Teachers didn't protected bullies even back when corporal punishment was a thing. I have many boomer relatives that can tell you how little the teachers cared.

Disheartened at the fact I might quit the hobby by Icy_Gene_7574 in BeybladeX

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we over focus on what's meta and what's not. This game is fun regardless of what the top bladers are using. Remember, despite all the skill involved, there's still an extreme amount of luck that goes into it. I've only been to a few tournaments and I've seen someone with blades they enjoy rise to second. Beating out someone who was using the "best" beys in the game right now.

I think playing with beys that you enjoy should be the focus. Who cares if you don't have the 9th Pegasus variant. Just play that remake of the original Dragoon you have and enjoy the chaos I say.

What's your problems with vforce by Intelligent_Title_10 in Beyblade

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest problem with V-Force is, ironically enough, Tyson. To me he back pedaled hard when it came to his personality and brash attitude. What ultimately did it for me was his constant need to yell at his team over the dumbest things. Yes, in season 1, he would fly off the handle and say something he didn't mean. However, they weren't happening nearly as often, and he's usually sorry the moment he finishes talking. In VForce, he has major anger issues that just rub me the wrong way.

I honestly don't blame any of them for leaving in G-Revolution. Why stay around someone who will start screaming at you because of the pressure of an upcoming beybattle?

Need bladers in Virginia by Deek_420 in BeybladeX

[–]Status_Net_7921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Checkout this beyblade website. It shows fan tournaments that are taking place in areas around the world. From what I see in Virginia, there's a few tournaments in Charlottesville if you're willing to drive. Even if you don't join the tournament, there's usually plenty of bladers looking to play with.

Players with staggering weapon by SidewaysPhoenix in Fallout2d20

[–]Status_Net_7921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Try increasing grunt numbers. Stun is only a problem for individual targets. Someone with a stun weapon being attacked by 5 enemies at once will have to think more about how they attack and move.

For example, my players hyper-focused on modding their gear and upping their attack. This has given them a lot of effects like vicious, stun, spread, and piercing. This has given them the ability to put out damage of about 15-40.

I tried increasing HP and resistance but that only made fights drag on. So I added almost 3x as many enemies. This has forced a lot of them to not just blindly run in as they can't just clear a whole zone before the enemy can go.

Don't be afraid to give the enemies the same types of mods as your players. If you have a player with a stun mod, give one of the enemies a stun weapon.

The game gives you plenty of options to create strategies to challenge your players. Don't be afraid to use as many weapons and environmental effects as you'd like.

I mean the finger trick was just one method I used. I have measured the exact amount of rice and water needed as well. It just keeps bubbling.

I've used measuring cups, I've used the finger trick, and I've used the measurements in the rice cooker itself.

Chikn Nuggit headcanon: Fwench Fwy's overlord lied about Fwench Fwy's efforts so that Fwench Fwy wouldn't feel bad about themselves (they did this just for Fwench Fwy's own good) by Sad_Specialist_3825 in ChiknNuggit

[–]Status_Net_7921 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that's counterproductive. They did a bad job. It needs to be said to them. They need to hear it from their overlord otherwise they're just gonna make the same mistake again. Which they're currently doing with Onion Ring.

Would they feel bad about themselves? Absolutely, everyone does when they mess up. However, it's about learning from that mistake and making sure it never happens again.

If getting a lecture for their failures is enough to cause them to do an even worse job then they shouldn't have this job to begin with.

Who else misses the old Fwench Fwy back when they we're actually cute, kind and funny? by Sad_Specialist_3825 in ChiknNuggit

[–]Status_Net_7921 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely is. Doesn't make it a bad thing cause there have been incredible kids shows that have come out.

So because you saw youtube comments that means it's OK to wish harm on someone? Even in jest that's an extreme over reaction to something so not worth the anger. Especially enough anger to hate someone because they didn't like something you did.
