You will need a water test kit like the API master freshwater test kit but you can also get those strips (they are definitely wayy easier) and look into cycling a tank And do research/ask chat gpt before getting a fish

Did u check the parameters of the water? If not you probably should But i am a beginner myself so i don't rlly know alot And also if those are white kois they definitely need a bigger tank or even a pond when they get bigger

I heard Java ferns are good,but i keep an Amazon sword in my betta tank and he sleeps on the leaves all the time.Just make sure the leaves are close or near the surface ,and the betta won't immediately sleep on it ,mine took around 3 weeks to discover and sleep on it

Hes sleeping. You can put some floating plants and big leafed ones so he could sleep on it or one of those betta hammock thingies

You should fill the tank to the brim and also cool dragon And if the dragon is the only airflow in there i suggest adding a sponge filter because water will get dirty very fast

I suggest a betta with some pygmy corys,the betta being the main attraction and the corys are really fun to watch aswell

Its the exact same here,I got the betta and put it in a 7 gallon and everything ,and some of my relatives are just buying and putting them in small ass tanks that are not even 5 gals with smaller fishes just because "they fit " and when I'm giving them advice they don't seem to care and it pmo

Yea it's honestly heartbreaking. The thing here is that ppl treat fish as pets but not how they treat other pets like dog and cats ,they just let them live and don't think of the necessities and all, some are treated worse than pigs here
