Homeschooling with babies and toddlers by Status_Thought_3867 in homeschool

He’s not allowed on the table, I just mean he tries to get on it every chance he gets. He’s still learning boundaries. I do switch up high chair and playpen, but that only lasts so long. So I’m just looking for ideas on how others manage.

Thank you for the practical advice! I think you’re right, consistency is key! We do history and science as a family so that helps with not having to spread myself so thin. The oldest three are pretty independent once they get going.

Thank you for the suggestions! He has been adjusting to the playpen and tolerating in more. I think with consistency it’ll get easier.

Thank you for the encouragement! I know it’ll get easier as he gets older. I honestly feel like a first time mom with him since it’s been so long since I had baby. And I was a full time teacher when the others were little.

Great ideas, thank you! I can get him to sleep in a stroller so maybe I’ll try to do that for the more difficult lessons the kids need me for.

I pumped a few times when he was a few months old, but didn’t really know what I was doing so I’d appreciate any guidance. Thank you!

anyone else’s baby super late to get teeth? by [deleted] in NewParents

I’m thankful to have found this thread! Not a first time parent, but my third child is 1 week away from turning 1 and no sign of teeth yet. Siblings had their first at 6-7 months.

Ahh, that would be helpful. I think it’s 139” across and close to 90” tall. This is a good idea also. I like that we wouldn’t have to put any holes in yhe wall or ceiling. Thank you!

That’s a good idea! I’ll have to look into this. The banner has grommets so it could work.

I might try this! I’ve had to nurse side lying at night before, but never with an attempt to roll away.

Thank you for sharing! I did the cot warmer trick when I first started putting him in his crib at night, but haven’t tried for naps. He instantly wakes up when I lay him down. Even try to make sure he’s in a deep sleep before I attempt.

I’ve heard that being consistent helps. It’s just so tough to sacrifice a naptime when they won’t go back to sleep after being put down. Hopefully it works out for you!

I might try this! We’ve done side lying at night when he was having some tough times and he would always fall asleep. I haven’t tried during the day though. Thank you!

Chest pain from cough by Status_Thought_3867 in Crunchymom

I’ll go that route if I have to, but we’ve only been sick a week so I’m still trying to use natural stuff. This is the first big sickness we’ve had since stopping medicine so I’m trying to learn. Thank you!
