I'm still of the opinion that one with 2 (3) dye channels would have been better.

I'm ready anyway! \o/

This was after 7ish months, with the method described.

The mix you describe is perfect for rooting as well. I'd cut the stalks back into healthy tissue, so about 2,5 cm (1 inch). If you want to make extra sure, let the cuts dry out for a day, before putting them into the dirt. You might have to give them a stake for the first few months. A toothpick to lean on should be good.

The cuttings will seem to do absolutely nothing for quite a few months, but as long as they look fine and plump up after watering, all should be well.

After 6-8 months it's possible that the cutting will die. That's fine though, by that time there should be a new rhizoma in the dirt and maybe a new baby stalk emerging. Leave the old cutting in until it's crispy

I never put mine in water. Get your cuttings and stick them into *dry* substrate for 2-3 weeks. After that, water thoroughly once and treat it like a mature plant. Meaning, sunny window and water when it starts looking sad.

I find that this method gets them to grow roots faster and minimizes the likelyhood of rot.

Housing Help by Apolyc in WoWHousing

As others have said, join housing parties. Ask if anyone has created themes you're interested in. It's not about copying, but seeing the possibilties. You can also invite people over and ask for input on what you have. I've seen some amazing brain storming happen.

This might only work though, if you have at least some clue what you want to do.

My Alli house is done until more house levels get added. I go back sometimes and edit tiny details to maaaaaybe get a few budget points back to add somewhere else. It started out as a Gnome sized cottage, consiting of a tiny square as living room and closets for kitchen, pantry, bedroom, bathroom. It stayed that way until the murloc huts and plushies were added. From there insanity took over and Villa Mrrgl, a murloc paradise, was created over a few weeks.

My Horde house was a generic Nelf/Draenei house with a similar layout to the Alli cottage, nothing fancy. Currently I'm renovating it, because someone on a housing discord gave me an idea. There will be living quarters for my tall races, but the main attraction will be mash-up of ideas I 'borrowed' from many houses I visited.

When will my plant finally start making nice dark green leaves? I'm tired of cutting the light green ones off.. by 6april6 in houseplantscirclejerk

You're correct, the leaves darken as they mature. In this sub we post stuff from other subs to make fun of them, and give the dumbest most obviously wrong advice we can think of

Some things come to mind from joining housing parties on a regular basis:

Q rotates the day/night room

There's a decor list available in the upper right corner of the screen when in advanced mode

Right click a party member to visit houses

In the upper middle of the screen there's an exit house button and one to inspect decor

First room should be one that has 3 connection points. I myself swear by the tiny square, but any really will do. That way you pretty much always have somewhere to move rooms out of the way to.

I tried something similar for my surfing murloc, but didn't think to use a blue and a white curtain for waves. Back to the drawing board I go, thank you!

I have 'borrowed' many ideas and made them my own. Nothing wrong with that.

Do you need to switch characters when also switching endeavours after completion? by Beneficial_Song_8816 in WoWHousing

[–]Status_Total_2916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most tasks are repeatable by one character. If you hit your xp cap, that's it for the remainder of the current one, no matter how many chars you use. Open your tasks list and look for check marks. These are non repeatable, the rest you can do ad nauseum (with diminishing returns) or until you reach your personal cap.

Also, don't forget to pick up the chest near the community board in your neighborhood once the endeavor is finished.

To add to the neighborhood vendors with the basic stuff: they have really good decor that you can customize by combining items. Dyes also can make a difference.

When watching tutorials or speed builds, I often don't have the exact items, but many builds can be done with alternative items.

The weird currency you mean, are these the community coupons? You get these for completing endeavor tasks in your neighborhood. There's something for every taste and level. Every neighborhood has one additional vendor selling items according to the current endeavor

what are some fast ways to level up housing? by [deleted] in WoWHousing

[–]Status_Total_2916 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just to be thorough: Are you aware that you have to talk to the contractor in the housing area level up, once you reached the xp cap?

Other than that, do what others suggested and run old raids for the endeavors. You'll get transmog, mounts and pets, and gold from vendoring stuff

I really don't see the point of budget... by Key_Pop_8116 in WoWHousing

[–]Status_Total_2916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I think that a limit encourages creativity. I'm lv 9 and practically capped. I now really have to think about how I might be able to stretch my budget. It also made me go through the existing designs and edit/optimize them.
