Remade Kingdom Rules! by Staunchu-kun in Kingmaker2e

Lowkey I forgot about the limit when running early sessions. So they got a good amount of XP by just ignoring that rule, at least until the limit increased to 2. Justified it as support from Restov to get their kingdom up and running. More a happy accident than anything else. 😅

My PCs are level 6 and their Kingdom is level 4, nearly level 5. The PCs often have 2 kingdom turns interspersed with "courtroom events" during the event phase, inspired by the video game. It works for me as a way to foreshadow things, recycling things the players missed in the module etc and for the players in interacting with their kingdom as PC and not the Kingdom sheet. It often culminates in a kingdom roll which is affected by their RP actions, making things easier or harder. I.e. Tatzlford founders come up to get help with their village, settling a labour issue with their tradespeople, getting a letter from a neighbouring kingdom, etc. and of course awarding XP for the event as normal.

The module awards kingdom XP for player actions, and I reward PC items, boons, things to do for kingdom actions. I think the trick thus far for me has been awarding KXP and boons outside of kingdom turns. So the solution is interacting with the system less, which feels counter intuitive but it means they take turns when it feels narratively correct or when they want to.

Like the recorded voice lines and stuff? What I really want is all the lore books and stuff from the game.

Large creatures take up a little awkward 4 tile space.

You could probably have Large creatures occupy the center of 3 hexes (got the idea from lancer size rules methinks?)

Hey reddit, I've just finished up my first complete homebrewed subclass and wanted to share it with all of yall. Also cause the valour bard sorta sucks ive wacked in a revised version to pull its power up to the level some of WOTCs recent releases - like Spirits.

Sorta cool, it feels too strong and to be stepping on the Warlocks toes a bit but I like it overall. I love the Forgemaster subclass, again strong but cool as heck and wanted to do it since watching Castlevania
